Chip sighs, he didn't have anything to really do that day and he was already outside so he might as well get some of the stuff he needed. As he sips his drink he makes a mental list of what to get further in town.
He was chatting with one of the waitresses, ruffling his hair as he did so.
(You cool with my dude just crushing on Corey?)
(Yeah!!)
"You're joking, right? Oh my god, wow."
He looks up from his glass to see a cute boy sat across from him. He can already see how this was going to go, either Chip or the boy sat across from him would leave the cafe and Chip would never see the cute boy ever again. That didn't stop his stomach turning over everytime he looked up though.
He was joking along with the waitress.
"No way he did that! Ugh, that's crazy."
"I don't see why anybody invites you two anywhere anymore!" he teased.
He just stares at the boy across from him, not realising how creepy he probably looks. When he does, after about 5 minutes of creepy staring, he quickly looks back down at his drink.
He looked over at Chip, running his fingers through his hair after the waitress left.
"Uh- Hey."
"Uh…Hi," Chip squeaks out, face flushing.
"I noticed you were looking at my friend earlier. Don't fuck with her, okay? She has a boyfriend," he said protectively, unaware of where he was actually looking.
"Oh, uh, okay, yeah." Chip swallows the lump in his throat, "I can do that. No problem."
"Yeah," he went back to looking at his phone, finishing off his first water.
Chip tries to do the same but he can't seem to take his eyes off the other, in an attempt to keep up the conversation he says, "My name is Chip."
He looked up from his phone.
"Corey."
"Corey's a nice name," He says, a bit too quickly, face still the shade of a tomato.
"Do you live around here? Weird question, I know, but I haven't seen you around before."
"Also, you're blushing."
"Oh its probably just the heat, I don't do well in the sun, burn really easily," Chip says, "And I live around ten minutes away, in Park View if you know it."
"I think so. I live right across the street, you know, in those super colorful apartments."
"Oh wow, yeah, they look like really nice houses, plus the views must be amazing."
"They do have some pretty good views. The houses are decent themselves, they have windows, which is a plus."
"Yeah, do you have a job or do you got to school?"
