Miguel sat in the coffeehouse, sipping his white milk chai latte and scrolling through Pinterest on his phone. His long, thin devil like tail flicked from side to side, his brilliant red eyes glancing at the other customers. Miguel drew in a small breath through his nose taking in two people's scents at the table near the center of the room. He sat in the corner against the wall. His eyes narrowed seeming intrigued as he recognized the scent of an elf and a half siren.
Elizabeth glanced around the room. She saw a person with a devil like tail that caught her attention. She made eye contact with him and gave off an awkward smile before looking away.
Miguel was surprised that he had been smiled at and sighed letting out a small puff of smoke which he coughed at, "Stupid fire…" He muttered with a frown and continued watching the elf and half siren.
Kiara kept her head bowed, walking quickly. She tried not to make eye contact with anyone.
Elizabeth noticed the smoke. Her jaw dropped a little. She let out a small "wow" before making eye contact with the man again. her mouth still a little open
Miguel looked away quickly, embarrassed, shook his head and stirred his drink with his straw. From the corner of his eye, he noticed someone walk in, looking non socialiable.
Kiara ordered a drink and sat down in the corner, fingers tapping nervously on the table.
Elizabeth glanced over at Miguel still in shock that he could most likely breath fire. All she had was her aim. She didn't have powers.
Miguel finally drained his cup and stood to throw it away. His tail stretched out behind him making no attempt to keep still. He walked over to the can, which happened to be next to the elf and sirens table and tossed it in.
Elizabeth stood up to go introduce herself. "Hello, my name is Ev-….Elizabeth," She still wasn't 100% use to calling herself Elizabeth.
Miguel blinked as he heard the elf speak. He turned and tried for a smile, seeming more awkward than friendly, "Nice to meet you. I'm uh, I'm Miguel."
"Sorry for me being blunt, but can you breathe fire," Elizabeth said with a wide grin forming across her face.
"Kind of…" Miguel mumbled, not proud of it. He looked down at the floor wondering how she would respond.
"Kind of?… You don't need to answer if you don't want to. It's just I saw the smoke, and I don't have powers. I just have really good aim," Elizabeth rambled.
Miguel looked back up, "I can. I'm not proud of it though." He stated.
"Is it because of your….. Species. Like, how I'm an elf that's what I mean nothing affective.
Klaus watched the interaction between the them, sipping quietly on his drink. "Hello," he said finally, drawing their attention for the first time. "I'm Klaus, by the way. Sorry for not introducing myself sooner, but I was a little caught up with your conversation. Anyways, species is nothing to be ashamed of. Er, unless you're a half blood, apparently," he added, mumbling the last part and looking down at his hands. "Oh, but I'm not discriminating against them. I am one."
Elizabeth rubbed her arm before stepping back a step and grabbing her tea. She took a sip. "Nice to meet you, Klaus," She said covering her ears a little better. "I-I don't like my species," She said rubbing her arm and taking a sip of her tea. "M-My brother was a half-blood,"
Miguel frowned, he was indeed a half blood and hated every part of it. "I'm an imp half blood, not something you see everyday."
"I'm a complete elf," Elizabeth said giving him a glimpse of her ears. "I don't like it though," She whispered.
Miguel had already easily sniffed out that she was a full elf, but he didn't let on that he could detect it, he nodded in time with her statement, unsure what to say next.
"Um….Sorry for my bluntness but What exactly are you…" Elizabeth asked rubbing her arm again.
Miguel thought about whether he should answer or not before sighing, "I'm half imp, half human." He didn't go into to much detail.
Miguel frowned, "I'd rather not go into detail." He replied with a small shake of his head.
