The dog looked at him and barked loudly.
The dog looked at him and barked loudly.
(might have to go in a bit)
Vien laughed, patting the dog's head before returning to his previous position. "I can't tell if she likes me or hates me."
(Okay. I was thinking about going soon anyway)
Vin laid down across the couch and threw his legs over Vien, as his dog dominated his chest. "I think she's just curious. I come home smelling like your bar, after all. Now I come home smelling like you."
"Well, that would make sense," Vien hummed. He glanced over at Vin before returning his attention to the dog. He held a hand out, wisps of starry black smoke curling around his fingers until they formed into a squeaky toy bone with the same pattern. He wiggled it in front of the dog's nose, grinning as he did so
She barked and sniffed it curiously. Vin looked awe-struck.
"Well, that was fuckin' cool."
His dog took the bone and squeezed it. It squeaked.
"Magic," Vien said, grinning as he did jazz hands. He tugged the bone from the dog before tossing it across the room, careful not to throw it anywhere he or the dog might break something
She barked and seemingly reluctantly got off of Vin's chest and scrambled over to get it. Vin inhaled deeply and watched her attack it.
Vien laughed a little, using the opportunity to shift closer to Vin. He turned to Vin, grinning as he made starry devil horns appear, which floated just above his head
Vin grinned and poked at one. "It's so weird but cool. I can't do stuff like that, and I'm a–"
"You're a what?" Vien asked curiously. "Are you a magician too?" he asked, now excited at the thought. Had Vin been a magician this whole time, and never told him?
"No- I'm a Demon." Vin avoided his eyes when he said this, staring determinedly at a coaster.
"Really?" Vien asked, intrigued now. He worked with demons often, so he was surprised he had missed a fact like this. "Well, it's nothing to be ashamed of. Most of my friends aren't human. Hell, I don't think I have any human friends," he chuckled
Vin raised his eyebrows a little. "Well, I don't have any Magician friends either, let alone a boyfriend one."
"Well, now you have a magician friend and boyfriend," Vien hummed, shifting the horns to a halo that floated just above Vin's head
Vin rolled his eyes with a slight smile on his face. "What's that sup[posed to represent?"
“Dunno,” Vien said with a shrug. “I guess you just act like an angel a lot, even though you’re a demon.”
Vin pretended to look offended. "Jeez Vien, a little contradictory, huh?"
“Oh, hush. You know you love me,” Vien chuckled, grinning as he changed the halo back to devil horns
Vin clicked his tongue and stuck out his tongue. "So… is it just your magical ability that makes you different?"
“Sort of,” Vien hummed. “I’m contracted by a creature of sorts that gives me access to many different kinds of magic. It works well for me, since I barely have to do anything in return.”
Vin humphed with interest. "That sounds really useful."
"It is. I can do everything from spells to summoning, potions to weapons," Vien hummed, holding out his hand. A scroll, a monster, a flask, and a knife appeared from starry smoke in his palm as he spoke
Vin glanced at the monster looking worried and his dog began barking at it.
"Relax, it's not real," Vien said, letting the figures dissolve into smoke. He leaned back against the couch, a hand reaching up to run through his hair absently
Vin's dog ran over and lept up on top of them, barking still.
