Seraph shook her head "no, that wasn't you. you didn't kill them, that demon did… it was just using you…"
Seraph shook her head "no, that wasn't you. you didn't kill them, that demon did… it was just using you…"
His body racked with a sob. "I killed her…"
"no, you didn't. that thing used your body to kill her…" no… stop blaming yourself for that monster's actions…. "it wasn't your fault, that monster killed her."
"The blood is on my hands Seraph… i still see it." He mumbled.
"That blood isn't on your hands, that thing has made you see it that way. You are as innocent as a new born, that thing used you and made you do those things."
"No-…" His body racked with a sob. "I-" He was stopped by another shaking sob. "I- I'm not innocent."
Audra walked into the room. "Is he sobbing about what happened two years ago?" She asked.
Seraph looked to Audra and nodded we tried the best we could but… he seems so fixed that he is responsible for her death….
"Tom, we went over this… I thought we left this behind at Ember's funeral… Tommy, its ok… Just have some brownies and pet 'Burst." Audra chided.
Tom looked up. "I'm sorry…" He sniffled.
Seraph loosened her grip and gave him a quick kiss "it wasn't your fault." why the fuck did you say that?
He looked down slightly, closed his eye shut and opened it again. "Yeah, it wasnt."
Seraph let go of Tom and gave him a warm smile.
"I'm sorry…. I'm…. I'm just, still shook over it…" He mumbled.
"It's ok, it's understandable." she looked back at James who was gorging himself on waffles "come on, lets eat something before James eats it all."
Tom nodded a bit. "Y-yeah…. James, can you stop, please? That is an awful amount of waffles…"
"Thy're Owwz, se dosnt carr." The blonde mumbled, he swallowed his food. "Plus i cant get fat."
Tom rolled his eye. "Stop before i have to spend weeks trying to make more." He turned to Seraph. "What do you want?"
She shrugged "if you have any muffins I'll gladly take them"
"No, but i can make them… its easy…." He shifted.
"Aooowwww." James cooed with food in his mouth. "Hoew swuet."
Seraph pointed to James and a small current singed off part of his eyebrow "I think you look better this way."
"Heh." He waved his hand dismissively and the part of his eyebrow came back.
Tom got to work on the food, ignoring James and his antics.
"Sorry to be intrusive but, what's your power?"
"Well… I have many powers." He waved his hand around. "All of them, to be exact. And…" He twirled his hand around. "a little something extra…. but eh…."
Tom rolled his eyes and continued with his work, done with his kinda-like-bro-in-law.
"Oh, that's quite interesting and uh…" she glanced out the window behind James and froze, "Uh… there is something behind you…" just outside the window the same man with that Glasgow smile and he was looking at her.
He looked around and saw a silhouette duck away from the window quickly. James' eyes darkened with alarm, his scleras turning black against his light blue iris'. "The hell was that?" He growled, his hair darkening slightly and scales appearing on his palms.
"What?" Tom looked over at James who was standing rigid, a shadow surrounded the older man.
James slitted his eyes. "I'm not sure… but its gone now…"
"I might just be seeing things… sorry for freaking you out… awesome power though."
"No, i saw it too…" James replied, his eyes returning to normal.
"It's not awesome when he makes a shadow cloud out of panic throughout the house…. then had to use fire to cancel out the darkness…" Tom pointed out.
"I stand corrected… Still, it looks awesome." ok, that thing has seen everyone but Tom's sister… it has to be trying to get a layout of the house… "One more weird question, are there any urban legends around this area?"
