She sighed and reluctantly began walking back to work.
She sighed and reluctantly began walking back to work.
Melanie froze, and her face was showing slight aggravation until she saw who it was. Then her face lit up. Trouble was the only person she didn't necessarily dislike. In fact, she was pretty fond of him.
"Oh, look who's here! It's the little ball of Trouble!" Melanie smirked as she put her book away after folding the corner of the page, an awfully bad habit of hers.
Mallory hugged herself as the cold wind blew past her.
"Yup that's me!" He grinned and sat down beside her, "Whatcha reading?' He asked staring at the cover.
(He can't read btw)
(Well neither can I soooo)
(I cant type either)
Mallory reached into her bag for her uniform when someone rushed past her, grabbing the bag in one swift motion.
(OwO)
Finn let out a gentle sigh as no one seemed to give him a second thought on the streets. It had been getting harder and harder to make a living on the streets these days, and soon enough, eating a meal every day became a distant dream.
"Huh? Oh! It's called Wonder by R. J. Palacio (one of my favorite books). I've read it a few times, and it's a really good book. Maybe sometime I'll read it to you." Melanie stood up, her right hand holding the closed book. The hard-covered book was blue, and the front had a cartoony face with only the right eye visible just below the black hair. In black letters, underneath the face, was the title. Wonder.
"Where are you going today? Off on another adventure?"
Mallory ran after the cloaked man. She knew she would get fired if she had lost that uniform and she couldn't afford losing another job.
(Should Melanie see this?)
(I wanted some of the characters to meet each other so I created a situation)
"Oh cool!" Tristan exclaimed, "Yup! I'll be off now, see ya!" He waved to her and got off the bench to go home only to be knocked down by a cloaked man. "Hey!" He yelped landing on the ground.
(Quiet? Uhh…I answered…)
Melanie looked at the commotion and dashed towards the perpetrator, dropping her book in the grass. She didn't like people, but she could never tolerate criminals. Especially people who mistreated Trouble.
Finn looked up as he heard a distressed yell, pocketing his coins and grabbing his guitar as a weapon. Crime wasn’t a strange sight on the streets here, but he still tried to help out when he could.
As the cloaked man tripped so did Mallory
(Uh yeah sorry I didn't see the message, I apologize)
Tristan struggled, trying to push the man off of him, "You crushed my bird! That was my food for the next two days! What the heck?!"
Melanie approached the cloaked figure huffing. She tugged the bag from the person's grasp and tossed it to the fallen Malory.
"Don't you dare try to steal again, or so help me, I will do a lot more than this" Melanie kicked them.
Mallory groaned in pain but sat up on her knees.
She picked up her bag and checked to make sure the uniform was still ok. Her knees stung and were bleeding.
"Thank you," Mallory said quietly hugging the uniform seeing it was intact.
"Get off of me!" Tristan yelled at the man, his chest hurt and he could barely breathe.
Melanie scowled at Malory but nodded. Should they have stolen from me, I'd have made sure I didn't fall. She rolled the cloaked figure off of Trouble, and she helped him get up.
Mallory tried to stand but fell back down. Her legs ached ever-so-badly.
