Finn walked over, eyeing the situation warily. He held his guitar like a weapon, the heavy hunk of metal resting dangerously on his shoulder.
Finn walked over, eyeing the situation warily. He held his guitar like a weapon, the heavy hunk of metal resting dangerously on his shoulder.
"Thanks, Melanie!" He took in a few deep breathes then looked at the other girl, "I've seen you before, you work at the cafe, right? Never been there but I've heard it's good. Are you okay?"
Mallory was taken aback but nodded her head in response.
She was surprised by his question but dismissed.
"That's good," He smiled, and looked to see Finn, "Hey Finn!" He exclaimed, then frowned at his flattened bag.
Melanie sighed and walked over to Mallory. She offered her hand. "Alright. Can you walk, or do you need further assistance?" Her voice was stern and her eyes were strict, but there was a hint of worry in her tone.
“Hey, bud.” Finn smiled at Trouble, his gaze still a bit wary. “Everything okay over here?”
"No! This mean person stole this girl's uniform and crushed my food!" He glared at the man.
"Thank you." Mallory said taking the girls hand.
"I think I can make it, there's a first aid at the cafe so I'll be fine." she looked at her legs
Finn’s gaze hardened a bit, his grip on the guitar tightening. “You want me to er… get this guy away from y’all?”
Tristan nodded.
(I might have to go soon…)
"No problem. Where you headed?" Melanie kept a wary eye on Trouble.
Finn grabbed the cloaked figure by the arm, tugging a little rougher than necessary. The little muscle hunger hadn’t eaten away flexed threateningly. “Don’t cause any problems an’ I won’t cause any for you, Mister.” He grumbled.
Mallory didn't converse with people so she was very nervous and kept her face to the floor. "The cafe is 5 minutes from this area."
(Okay)
"I'm going to go to my home and recover as much as this food as I can." Tristan stood and turned to leave, bag in one hand as he waved with the other, "Bye!"
"Wait!" Mallory said reaching her bag. She grabbed half a loaf of bread and handed it to the boy.
She felt bad for leading the man to this area, crushing his food.
Finn raised his head and nodded at him. “Stay outta trouble, Trouble!” He cracked a grin at the younger boy.
"Oh!" Tristan looked surprised, "Are you sure?" Then he grinned at Finn, "I'll try. Can't make any promises."
Mallory shook her head. "I'm sure I have something at home."
"If you're sure then," He turned and walked down the street with the bread in hand.
Mallory grabbed her stuff said her thank yous to the remaining two people and left for work
Finn dipped his head in response, unsure of what to do with the cloaked figure.
Tristan arrived at his treehouse and climbed up inside. He sat by some newspapers that were scattered across the floor and dumped the contents of his bag out, carefully keeping the bread away from it. He sighed as all the berries and the bird were smashed and the juice of the berries and blood of the bird had stained the feathers, he glanced at his poorly made pillow that had leaves shoved in it, "Dang…"
