Alisha grinned. "I'm glad you think so. Onto business. That anesthesia. What's your plans for it? Do tell. I need ideas."
Alisha grinned. "I'm glad you think so. Onto business. That anesthesia. What's your plans for it? Do tell. I need ideas."
(That last one was directed at Cress. Sorry for not clarifying.)
“I haven’t thought of much so far, except for finding out their real identity and slipping it into their drink…”
(Just a heads-up that I'm going to do a time skip when the others are done interacting to when they use the potion but it won't be now.)
(Gotcha.)
Alisha rose from her chair. "What to do… what to do. It has to be the Moonlight Brand. I have a reputation to uphold." She looked at who was standing in her HQ. "Anyone else want to chip in? I have an idea, actually. Wait! You go first." She gestured to her allies to speak up.
"Sorry? I haven't really been around the last few weeks, what with Brinnie and Ly and, ahem, my work situation. I'm confused on the conversation topic, so could we catch this poor girl up on everything?" Amanda asked. Lyly started to wriggle about, and Amanda set her down. "Go and play or something, I have to take care of grown-up things okay?" she asked. Lyly whispered something that Amanda blanched at, sighed, and told Lyly to go off and handed her daughter some paper and a pen to draw with. "Sorry about that." she blushed.
Alisha smiled softly. "No problems. Apparently our 'organization' if you will, got its hands on an anesthesia that we can slip into our enemies food or drink. Something like that. My listening skills aren't the best, you see. And I forgot my idea. Damn," she sighed. "Any ideas? Maybe something will jog my memory."
After lots of annoying dings on her phone, Alexis finally picked up and actually read her messages. Apparently, they were hanging out at Alisha's headquarters today. Seeing that Alexis was waiting for her underground network to get her some information, she decided to go and pay a visit since she had nothing else to do.
"Did someone call for a genius?"
Cress rolled his eyes jokingly and sighed, “No.”
Teddy walked in, Virgil and Quinn by his side, both with masks over their faces. "Just from what I hear about you, we might need one." Virgil says, Quinn smacked him on the arm softly.
"We're supposed to be nice, remember."
"What if I don't want to be nice?"
“Is this like a bring your kid to HQ day? If someone would’ve told me, I would’ve brought Lilin…” Cress sighed looking annoyed at Virgil’s comment.
Virgil leans on his cane, facing the direction the Cress's voice had come from. "We didn't want to be here"
"I did."
"Correction, I didn't want to be here."
“Take a joke kid.” Cress crosses his arms
"To restate my previous statement, what if I don't want to." Virgil said, Teddy walking over and smacking him on the head. "I said be nice. I can take away my training offer."
"Well we have enough people for a party. Drinks anyone?" Alisha asked the bunch.
"Hey, Lyly, go play with Vigil and Quinn, okay?" Amanda called. Lyly grinned, and ran over to the other children. "Mummy wants me to play with you, she hasta do grown-up things but not like she does with Momma, other grown-up things." Lyly gave an innocent smile missing one of her front teeth.
Virgil started to say something before Quinn shoved him, saying only one thing. "No." Virgil began to protest before shutting up with the glare the sickly boy gave him. "I can't see and even I could feel that glare Quinny." Virgil snickers.
"Wanna play dolls?" Lyly opened up her backpack, a small blue bag with several patches on it, one having a pink unicorn embroidered on it. Amanda turned to Teddy, and gave an apologetic look. "Is it okay if your kids keep her busy for a minute? She's a really sweet girl, you know that."
"They're my little brothers actually, but sure, she can play with them. Quinn will make sure Virgil doesn't say anything inappropriate." Teddy promised. Meanwhile, Quinn agreed to play dolls, saying Virgil would do it too. "Come on Virge, you love kids. Why do you keep on resisting?" Quinn teased.
"Well son of a camel, I actually had no idea. You really need to clarify things for us newer to the team. Or people in general." she said. "Brothers then, sorry. And thanks."
Cress watched them, clearly uninterested.
"It's fine, we don't really have a resemblance." Teddy laughed, patting her arm. "Don't worry about it. May I ask your name? Or alias?"
"Amanda Kettle. Or LeRose, either works." she chuckled. "I made these dolls myself! Almost. Momma helped me paint them, Mummy was working. She always is." Lyly made a face. The dolls didn't look that bad, one eye was slightly lopsided on the surfer figurine, but otherwise they looked good.
"May I hold one?" Virgil asks softly, holding out a hand. Quinn jumped to explain. "Virgil is blind, he can't see anything so he uses his touch to figure things out." He said, mentally saying something about Virgil's power.
