(sarcasm well wow that gives me a sense of confidence)
"Don't call me Brainiac," Alex rolled his eyes pushing his glasses up.
"Too late." She chuckled, walking over and ruffling his hair.
Sisi sighed, loosening his posture and pushing the black bag away from himself with his foot.
Maybe if I starve myself it’ll get me out of here sooner.
Alex scowled and hit her hand away, "Stop bugging me. I need to focus."
"Can't help it, Alex, it's my job to be that annoying older sister you never had." She laughed.
"Nate help me, please."
“What. Was that my name?!” Nate looked over at them.
"Get Caroline away from me so I can do my work," Alex huffed as he glared at Caroline.
"He's complaining that I'm bothering him despite literally dealing with it for too many months."
“Dammit, leave each other alone or have to kill someone,”
Sisi sat there for a bit until his growling stomch told him to stand and get something to eat. He wandered back out into the heated wasteland (?) and though it was only midday, sweat pouring down his face. Sisi was miserable.
"I'm not doing anything though!"
She shook her head. You'd think after dealing with me for this long, they'd learn to get over it. She cracked her knuckles and went for her bag by the door. "Right, I'm heading out for target practice. I'll be outside if you need me." She grabbed her daggers and walked out into the bright sunlight.
“Fine you have fun don’t get killed or injured because I refuse to fix you up like I did last time,”
"No promises babe!" She called back, chuckling.
Sisi felt his feet drag as he walked along the hot, cracked asphalt of a former road. He felt dizzy and his head reeled. The pointless weight of his bookbag full of weaponry he found lying around (unfortunately there were pleanty of those), empty water bottles, candy wrappers and a few pairs of clothes weighed down on his back as he trudged. But he didn’t take it off, it was the only thing he could depend on in this life.
She hummed as she walked to the back of the diner where she'd set up a makeshift training area. She was a wicked shot and didn't need the practice but it felt nice to touch up on her skills.
"No promises babe!" She called back, chuckling.
“I swear to god Care!” He sighed heavily.
She just laughed, taking close aim before throwing. "Bullseye. As usual." She went forward to grab her precious knife and looked over the barren wasteland. The normally straight horizon was broken by a figure. "What the-? No. No way." Her eyes widened. Could it be? Someone else in this god forsaken land?
Sisi looked up. Was that a building in the distance or was that his lack of water in this heat? He walked, no, he trudged, slower… slower… his knees wobbled like a thirsty band student who just suffered through a whole Band Camp day without water. Well, that’s pretty much what it was like… anyway, he sunk lower and lower, unsure if he was closer at all to the building he thought he saw…
He looked to Alex. “Should we go with her to make sure she’s safe or can she hold her own?”
((Okay wow I missed a lot… any way I can jump in?))
"Nate! You gotta come see this, I think I see someone!" She watched the figure carefully, unsure if she actually saw someone or if her eyes were playing tricks on her.
