“I am not a dick!” He followed after them.

"You certainly act like one sometimes." She brushed her hair out of her face and headed for the old warehouse over the horizon from their little home.

"From the way she said it, I assume it was supposed to." She smiled sweetly.

“It got out here… why can’t it be cold outside?”

"We live in an actual post apocalyptic wasteland and you want it to be cold. Are you feeling okay?" She chuckled.

"To be fair, it's fucking étouffant" She said, wiping her brow

“No I’m not feeling okay. I’m feeling lightheaded,” he sighed, “I miss when it was cold,”

"I wouldn't know the difference, I grew up a city where it was hot all year round. The heat doesn't bother me." She shrugged. Through this entire time she'd barely broken a sweat.

Jezebel hummed, looking around. The kids don't care if you're alright, honey- the kids aren't all, kids aren't alright! What the fuck brain.

“What are we doing anyway?” He looked around. “It’s not safe to be doing nothing,”

"Technically, existing as we are is not safe." She said, kicking around a small rock."

“Yes. Being alive is no longer safe,”

"Will both of you shut up?" She rolled her eyes, looking over the horizon to the growing gray building in the distance.

“Oof a building I’m quaking in fear.” He said dryly.

She elbowed him in the ribs. "This place might have our next meal so shut up."

“Stahp I’m gonna bruise. If you’re going to leave bruises, I have better ways of accomplishing it,”

She rolled her eyes with a small smile. "Perv."
