(Okay! Have a safe flight!)
(Okay! Have a safe flight!)
(Have fun!)
Adara eyed the new figure. They didn't seem like a threat, but you never knew. She stuck close to Matthew, watching the figure with a distrustful expression.
Ichika started flying at a moderate, constant speed. The trip would take some time to complete so Hinata was almost forced to be patient while following the Knight. He would turn back occasionally, checking if whether or not the visitor was following him.
After some time, though, he slowed down to fly just beside Hinata.
”Want me to carry you like earlier?” the Knight asked, extending his hand with a raised brow and a friendly smile.
Matthew eyed Adara a bit, watching her reaction upon meeting the scientist.
The Knight laughed a bit before gesturing towards the man with the metallic crow mask.
”This is Chris Ryan, a former Knight like myself and currently working as one of the main scientists of the Research Building” the nature Knight introduced as the scientist bowed slightly.
”Chris Ryan, pleasure to meet you” his voice was very much mumbled and crippled.
Hinata followed behind Ichika, fidgeting. This was taking quite some time, something she didn't really want to deal with at this moment. She looked over when Ichika slowed to be next to her, shrugging her shoulders as best she could.
"I see no reason why not," she said. If it meant they went as fast as before as well, she was just fine with it. She took his hand, tucking her wings in and quickly maneuvering so he was carrying her.
When his grasp was firm on Hinata’s, Ichika increased his speed to quite an insane yet exciting level. The windy breeze was delightful. Soon, they would land on a grassy field, one that looked calm and pleasant.
”There they are” the former Knight pointed to two figures in the near distance.
Hinata smiled a bit despite her horrid mood as they flew, but she, for the most part, remained somber.
"Thank you," she said when they landed, smoothing her shirt down. She nodded to Ichika one last time before she started off towards the two figures, her wings still out. It didn't take energy to have them out, just to summon them and put them away, so she'd probably leave them out for a while.
The two fox brothers were talking to each other when Shinrin, the forest fox, noticed Hinata and called the electric fox to turn to her.
”Hello Hinata, what brings you here?” the forest fox asked from the rock he was sitting on.
"I need to talk to you both about Matthew," she said, looking grim. "Specifically, about the plan to get me to kill the Viscount." She folded her hands behind her back.
The fox brothers both opened their mouths in confusion. They most likely had the same thought; no one knew about the plan except for the four brothers. Soon, though, Shinrin would laugh the thought off.
”Well? Care to help?”
"Of course," Hinata said. "This is Matthew we're talking about. And… I came here right after having a little chat with the Viscount in question, and I have absolutely no problems with doing them in." She scowled a bit, thinking of who flippant the man had been about killing Matthew, and those connected to him.
Shinrin chuckled a bit.
”Glad to have you onboard” Rakurai stated, having both his hands behind his back.
”We’ll talk about the details later, as for now, you must be tired. Take a rest will ya?” the forest fox stated, gesturing to the bed of grass and flowers near him.
"Thank you," Hinata said. She was pretty tired, after spending so much energy. She semi-collapsed, folding her legs in front of herself. She reached into her pocket, pulling out an apple. She was famished.
(Let’s leave it there for now, I think I’ll have the others catch up before we go on)
(Yeup, I figured as much. I'm probably gonna do the same with Author's World.)
Opening the right chest, Kye would be met with a Sapphire carved in the shape of an eyeball. The jewelry was picked up by the blue butler-like figure and was handed silently to Kye. The figure picked out a paper note with the words: ”Take this piece of jewel with you, you will find it helpful deeper into the Gardens” written on it.
Soon, the blue butler figurine would step out of Kye’s way and in front of the visitor should be another butler figure. But this was not the case as no such thing as a butler figure stood in front of Kye.
From the first two butlers, it seemed like Kye had to do something with his remaining five senses in order to see the figures…(Curl up your tongue, taste your own saliva?)
(Cover your ears, block all hearing?)
(Reach out with your hand, try to touch the invisible figure?)
"Sight, air movement… taste, touch and hearing are left…" Kye was muttering to himself again. Then he decided to try something. Something he'd done once before because of a really bad situation he'd been in. Part of his strong dislike for snakes.
His eyes scanned the area, but he was only half focused on what was around him. At the moment he was listening to that high pitched scream in his ears. As he listened to it more and more the rest of the sounds around him were blocked out. Soon he could hear nothing that was real and only that high pitched squealing. A trick he'd learned way back, the last time he'd been stuck in a labyrinth. Except last time he wasn't there by choice.
Once Kye focused his hearing on that one particular sound and denying the rest, a red butler-like figure appeared with, once again, a face covered by red spider lilies.
The butler nodded when Kye saw them and handed him a paper note:
”Please tell me, what are you looking for here?”
Kye suddenly stopped what he was focusing on. A cold feeling spread through him, as the figure vanished and all on his senses went back to normal. The image on his mother suddenly flashed into his head again, clear enough that he could make out every detail. He took a few steps back, his hands instinctively going up to his head in a protective manner. His vision was slowly fading to red and he could hear his heart beat in his ears.
Kye whoa hey calm down! I've seen this movie before, no need to break things here! That was in the past, the past is not now, we're not in any danger. Kye you are literally about to go all kill mode on everyone snap out of it now.
(Note: Now would be a really good time for you to either get everyone and run. OR, Get someone down here that can cancel out magic.)
(Definitely noted)
As Kye was going through the experience, a female figure was wandering through the fields. Upon seeing Kye, though, she moved closer to him and realized that he was having problems controlling his magic. She wasn’t going to let him do anything to herself or the butlers, that was for sure.
”Nullification Bubble” the female said as a cloud of smoke covered Kye which soon solidified into a spherical shape.
The sudden appearance of the sphere surprised Kye causing him to stumble back lose his footing and fall over. The sudden appearance also caused the red he was seeing to disappear and allow him to get his wits about him again. He was shaking hard, and seemingly on instinct he looked down at his hands. An different image flashed in his head. His hands covered in blood. Blood that was not his own, and that he had no clue how it got there.
Kye, pay attention to the fact that you are currently trapped and if it is by someone who is not on the nicer side I would suggest starting to look for a way out of his little mess that you've managed to get us into.
"I… am okay," he breathed out slightly. "We are okay." The shakiness was starting to disappear and he started looking around again. He carefully placed one of his hands on the sphere and stood up.
Shinrin sat closer to Hinata, looking at her from where he’s at with a level of respect.
”But then again Shin—“ the electric fox started ”—Hinata’s not from the Labyrinth, are you sure she’s not gonna get in trouble if any one of them finds out?” he asked.
The forest fox fell on his back and sighed.
”Not sure honestly, we’ll have to ask her first. Now you shut up and let her get her energy back” Shinrin said, using some of his own magic on the lower plants.
The female figure moved from behind Kye to in front of him.
”Is… is everything alright sir? You seem a bit unstable…” she asked with a harmless tone with an equally harmless expression. She looked like she wanted to help… but then this is the Soul Labyrinth we’re talking about, not everyone is trustable if any is.
Hinata ate her apple quietly, listening to the two foxes talk.
"Get in trouble with who?" she asked, swallowing. The apple was nearly already finished, and though she didn't say anything it was a clear sign she was lower on energy then she wanted to be.
”The other Viscounts” the nature fox answered.
”There are a total of twelve Viscounts in the Labyrinth; some are nice, some are not, and some are just more suitable in Hell than here…” Shinrin explained with a hint of anger emphasis on the last part.
”Shin, calm down—“
”Calm down? Oh did you just tell me to ‘Calm Down’? Look, Rai, we have three fucking days to make our move and if we fail, we’re going with him. I’m doing this Matthew, yes, but it’s also for us… I’m not letting anyone of us die, I’m not…” the nature fox cut off Rakurai’s sentence before sighing.
Three days? Damnit, that wasn't much time at all. Still, she wasn't concerned with getting in trouble. She understood where Shinrin was coming from too. She fell silent.
”Look… we’re getting close to the end of today, leaving us two more days to plan and the third day to execute the plan or if possible, we’d want to do that as soon as we can” Shinrin claimed. Being the youngest and most thoughtful of the fox brothers, he was stressed out.
The concern for Matthew’s life was high but he was more afraid about his remaining family members and himself as everyone would be.
”We’ve got a strong person on our team…“ Shinrin eyed Hinata with slight drops of tears in his eyes ”…but that doesn’t mean we can guarantee a win. Julian isn’t a man who keeps just one trick up his sleeves” the nature fox stated.
”I think we need more people to participate… especially those who are strong, strong enough to beat someone like him and perhaps on par with Hinata… but who…”
(Cassius?)
(Chris?)
(Serena?)
[Special Choices?]
[Holding onto the Antique Wooden Horse]
(Ichika?)
Hinata listened quietly as Shinrin spoke, moving slightly closer when she saw the tears. She had an idea of what he was going through, but not entirely.
"I agree," Hinata finally said. She thought for a moment, going over everyone and everything that had happened since she had arrived. That's when she remembered the wooden horse Serena had given to her from Matthew, pulling it out of her pocket as she continued to think. She was hesitant, but finally, she spoke.
"What about Ichika?" she said. Still, she had her worries, especially after what she observed with the Viscount and how Ichika acted.
