Jace glanced up at them worriedly as something black edged at his vision.
"They're talking about you, love…" The Man skulked into the kitchen and wrapped his arms around Jace. "They have no right to, either…"

(bump I'm bored.)
"He's a good kid, a little bit shy, but a good kid. And a strong one too, no normal child could withstand that neglect at such a young age. But I'm worried for him. He said there was a 'Scary Man' sitting on his bed earlier, but there was nobody there. And I've never been fan mum before, I don't know how to connect!" Allison moaned. "I could set him up for an appointment with Lisa, she's good with kids. Adults too, she's a very good therapist." Samuel offered. "I'm not sure I want to do anything yet. I'm just concerned for Jace." Allison mumbled.
Jace shook his head. Go away, please.
"Why?" He straightened up. "Perhaps not now, then, Jace. I'll be back when you need me, then."
"Well, it is getting late, we might as well all get to bed. I'll just tuck Jace in, yeah? Then I'm all yours, love." Samuel said, pressing a kiss into Allison's forehead.
Jace got down off of the chair and scuttled out of the kitchen quietly, finding it appropriate to go to bed on his own.
Samuel noticed Jace had run off to his room, and followed. "Hey, can I come in?" he asked, waiting for a reply.
Jace opened the door, showing that he didn't change or get into bed yet. He nodded and shuffled back over to the middle of the room, out of Samuel's way, perhaps instinctively.
(I'm stalking this. It's so adorable)
Samuel sat down on a chair. "You alright? It's probably really freaky, being somewhere new with people you hardly know."
Jace held his hands and looked down at his feet. He nodded after a bit.
"Just know that if you ever need anything, don't think twice about asking, just let me or Allie know what you need and we'll help you." he said.
Jace nodded again as though he were a guilty child. "Okay."
"Come on now, let's get you tucked into bed. Tomorrow's going to be a lovely day for all of us, I'm sure of it." he smiled.
Jace looked up again and nodded unsurely for the third time that night. He walked over to the bed and scrambled onto it with immense difficulty.
Samuel helped tuck Jace in underneath the covers. "Goodnight, do you want me to turn off the lights or leave them on?" he asked, walking towards the door.
Jace shrugged. "Off, I guess," He murmured hoarsely as he wiggled, struggling to get comfortable.
"Alright then. Sleep well, if you have a nightmare or feel sick or just need someone to talk to, you don't think twice about coming for help, yeah? Goodnight." he said, turning off the lights and leaving the door open just a tiny bit of the way.
"They really care about you, Jace," A gentle voice said to him. "It must feel nice."
"I suppose it does. I don't think I deserve all of this, though," Jace answered back.
Samuel walked into the bedroom and lay down on the bed next to his sleeping wife. "Good night, Allie." he said, brushing a strand of hair out of her face and then falling asleep himself.
(@Impossible_Girl I'm sorry I know it's closed, but I love your username ok I'll leave now)
(Sure!)
It was early morning when Jace woke up yet he didn't use the restroom, despite the need to was great, nor did he leave the room. He felt if he even stepped foot outside the room (even though he was extremely curious), he might get in trouble.
(Bump)
