Ayce hummed softly for a moment. He tucked his arms tighter around Nolan, and began to fall asleep.
Nolan was quiet, listening to Ayce drift off. He couldn't sleep himself, feeling to anxious
Ayce normally wouldn't have fallen asleep so easily, but he felt safe now. Curled up in Nolan's arms like this. Plus, in Raifa, he had grown used to sleeping whenever he could.
Nolan laid Ayce down on the bed and tucked him in carefully. He got up amd paced the room quietly. He wouldn't leave Ayce alone, he didnt trust that no one would bother him.
Ayce kept sleeping, rolling onto his side again and curling up in a little ball. His white streaked black hair hung into his face a little bit.
Nolan knelt by the bed and brushed Ayce's hair out of his face. "I'll keep you safe. I promise." He whispered
Ayce let out a breath in his sleep, rolling towards Nolan a little. In sleep, he looked far more at peace than he did awake. Less scared, less wary. Less like he was waiting for a blow that hadn't yet come.
Nolan smiled softly and kissed his temple. He caressed his head. "Everything will be just fine."
Ayce let out a soft sound, still asleep. He shifted again, the blankets curled up around his thin body.
Nolan smiled gently. He got up and shuffled around the room quietly, taking their things out of the bag and organizing it. He would have to wash their clothes, and get Ayce some new ones.
(Do we wanna do a timeskip?)
Ayce kept sleeping contentedly, not moving very much, except to shift just a little.
(Sure)
Nolan finished packing away the rest of the contents in the bag. He nibbled on the little food they had had left.

In the morning…
Ayce woke up with a soft groan and a stretch, sighing quietly.
Nolan was sitting against the wall, a knife in hand. His grip was tight enough to make his knuckles ghostly white. His eyes were trained at the door
Ayce blinked when he saw Nolan, and slid out of the bed. "Nolan?" He said quietly. "A-are you okay?" He fidgeted with the shirt a little.
Nolan jerked slightly and look up at Ayce. He dropped the knife and stood. "Fine, fine." He went to the other. "How did you sleep?"
"Fine." Ayce looked at him with a slight frown. "Why did you have the knife out?"
"Just in case." Nolan shrugged his shoulders. He placed his hands on shoulders. "Are you hungry darling?"
Ayce looked up at him. He shrugged a little, then hugged Nolan, burying his head in the other man's chest. He closed his eyes.
Nolan smiled and returned the hug. He kissed the top of his head. "You need some food in you."
Ayce shrugged slightly. "Okay." He mumbled, but didn't move from where he was.
Nolan squeezed him gently. "Come on, you need to eat darling." He started to pull away
Ayce shook his head a little. "Don't wanna leave the room." He mumbled, holding onto Nolan still.
Nolan sighed softly. "We have too darling. I promise we can come here in a little while. But you need food."
"Not hungry." He insisted, shaking his head a little. He kept his face pressed against Nolan's chest.
