At one point the reached a dead end, he heard low whistling from behind them, Brink groaned and turned slowly

Vanessa turned around.

"you have got to be kidding me right now," the boys who had wistled at Vanessa were now behind them, blocking their only way of getting out if the ally

Vanessa stepped forward smiling softly ¨boys could you step aside¨ she asked politley.

"not a chance pretty thing," one of the boys said with a grin, trailing his eyes up and down

¨Please¨ she begged.

"nope." He said the rest of the boys moving in closer

Vanessa smiled gently as she watched the boys inch closer.

Brink came up next to her,
"Hey save some craziness for me," he pouted.
"Aw clown boy wants to play!"

Vanessa walked over to a wall and slammed her head on it¨.

The boys looked in her direction while Brink cracked them.in the head with his bat "serves you right, looking g at a girl like a price of meat, the hell?!"

vanessa walked back to brink wiping blood of her head.

Satisfied that the rest who were still conciousness wouldn't pick a fight, Brink turned to Vanessa "kitty, you ok?"

¨My heads bleeding¨ she said.

"so that's a no," he glanced around and pulled her to the correct all your way "we're almost home, can you make it in five minutes?"

¨yeah¨ she said holding a hand to her head.

He walked close to her in case she decided to faint and continued to walk home

She began o breath heavily as she layed her head on his shoulder.

He glanced at her worriedly "why you do that kitty," he wrapped a secure arm around her waist for support

vanessa closed her eyes as she walked.

"can you change he into a cat? It'll be easier if you faint to carry you if you faint."

She nodded changing to a cat.

He picked her up and quickly walked home

Vanessa turned human once they were inside.
