"Sounds like a plan," Kendall said, walking in, immediately feeling the bass wash over her and the chatter overwhelming her hearing. She loved it. "Okay, here we go."
"Sounds like a plan," Kendall said, walking in, immediately feeling the bass wash over her and the chatter overwhelming her hearing. She loved it. "Okay, here we go."
Brenna scanned the bar over heads of sitting people and walked over to a likely female, who was sobbing drunkenly.
"Uh, Kris?" Brenna asked timidly.
The woman looked up, mascara was running down her face and her lips were quivering.
"Bren-Brenna?" she sniffled.
Brenna sighed. "Come on, Kris, I'm gonna take you home."
Kris's lips quivered even more and big, fat tears rolled down her cheeks as Brenna led her out. "He-he left me here, Brenna. Why'd 'e do dat?" she asked.
Brenna sat her down on Kendall's motorcycle, deciding to wait for Kendall, rather than go looking for her.
"Because, like I've said all of these times that this has happened to you, they're assholes who don't deserve you."
Not finding anyone who could be Brenna's friend, and no longer being able to see Brenna, Kendall headed back out to her motorcycle, thinking she might have come back out.
"Hey, so you found her," she said, seeing Brenna and her friend. "Are we taking her home? Does she have a roommate that can make sure she drinks water?"
"Yeah, she lives in an apartment up the street, with one of her friends. That… isn't me." Brenna put her hands on her friend's shoulders. "I'll walk back to my house, thanks again, Kendall."
"I can give you a ride home, Brenna," Kendall offered. "It's not safe to walk home alone this time of night."
Brenna chuckled. "I think I'll be quite alright, but if you insist." She sat down carefully on the edge of the motorcycle, one of her long legs hanging off comically.
"I do," Kendall replied, getting on the bike in front of Brenna. "So, where do you live? Sorry, that sounded kinda weird." She chuckled.
"Well, like I said, Kris lives up the road in the gray bricked apartment complex, and I live… I'll probably just show you."
After dropping Kris off and explaining things to her roommate, they went back down her Kendall's bike.
"Would it be easier if you just drove?" Kendall asked.
(I've gotta go for about 2 hours to mow the lawn)
(Okay!)
"Yeah, I suppose it would be." Brenna grinned and slid into the front part of the motorcycle.
(Dramatic entrance HELLO, I have returned)
Kendall wrapped her arms around Brenna's waist and leaned in. "Alrighty, let's roll."
(Even more dramatic gasp HOWDY!)
Brenna started the motorcycle and nyoomed off quickly into the night. Soon, they arrived at a small humble home, yes a flat, but nicely decorated and painted.
"Nice place you've got here," Kendall commented as they got off the motorcycle. "I love the color."
"Thanks," Brenna purred, "I painted it myself." She walked up to her home and unlocked the door.
"So I guess I'll be seeing you around?" Kendall asked, still at the curb leaning on her bike. "Maybe we could meet up at that coffee shop again sometime."
"Yeah, I suppose we could." She grinned at Kendall and turned to face her.
Kendall grinned in return. "Great!" she said. "I had a lot of fun tonight, I'm glad I met you."
"Yeah, it was great to meet you, too. Thanks for saving me, by the way." She chuckled gently.
"No problem, happy to have been there," Kendall replied with a smile as she got on her bike. "I'll see you later, Bren- Oh wait, I guess I need your number if we wanna hang out again."
"Oh, right, it's number. Sorry I didn't think of that!" She laughed a full, deep laugh.
