"Nooooo, it's nothing."
"Nooooo, it's nothing."
Kendall crossed her arms and pouted. "Why won't you tell me?"
"Because," Brenna said vaguely, her gaze wandering away.
"That's not a reason."
"It's a reason now."
Kendall snorted. "I don't think so."
Brenna grinned. "I think so."
Rolling her eyes, Kendall shrugs. "Ugh fine," she sighs dramatically. "Be that way."
"I will be that way, Kendall." Brenna grinned.
Kendall can't help but grin back at her friend. "So, now what?"
Brenna shrugged. "If you didn't have work I'd suggest that we walk around the mall."
"Yeah, sorry," Kendall said. "I don't get off for another couple hours. Maybe we could hang out later? or even tomorrow."
"Later sounds good," Brenna mused with a grin.
"I get off at six, and don't have to be at the club until nine-thirty," Kendall said. "Want to grab dinner?"
Brenna smiled. "Yeah, sounds great! Then maybe after your shift, you could swing by my place?"
"Sure!" Kendall replied with a smile. "I'll probably go home and change first, though."
"Cool! So, it's a plan. What were your plans for food?"
"Well, there's a good Mexican joint I know of, does that sound alright to you?"
"Mmm, Mexican. Hell yeah!"
Kendall grinned. "Great! So how 'bout I drop by your place seven-ish?"
"Sure! How about after your shift at the club?"
"That would work, but it would be quite a bit later."
"That's okay," Brenna said brightly.
"Alright," Kendall said, smiling. "How about eleven-ish, then?"
(Just to clarify, the plan is, that Kendall comes over at 7 for dinner, then comes back over around 11 for whatever else.)
Brenna nodded. "Sounds great!"
