Apollo stood up and offered Avery a hand in politeness.
"I'll go with you" he offered and pulled Avery up and started heading up the stairs, pacing himself slower than usual so Avery could follow beside him, once they got upstairs Apollo pointed to the door with Avery's name on it.
"There's your room." Apollo said to him.
Avrey took it, blushing as the grin on his face grows wider. Being pretty tall, he slowed himself to keep his pace with Apollo. He glances at each room, noticing the names and suddenly becoming very nervous. Shit. I forgot why I was here! He smiles, opening the door, the turning around in the doorway. "Th-thanks." He mutters softly, smiling at Apollo.
Apollo looked around and spotted his room to the left of Avery's.
"Well if you ever need me i'm right next door." he said happily "don't be afraid to bother me, I'd love to still talk to you, even if we aren't soulmates." He pointed out with a small charming smile then waved to Avery and slipped into his room, where he closed the door behind him and heaved his bag up onto his back, falling face first onto the spot beside it.
Avrey smiled, watching him leave, then closed the door, sighing. He looked around the room, admiring the color scheme and layout. Well, Aves, you better get used to this. he sets his bag down on the bed, then heads back outside the apartments for the other things he had left in his car. A few minutes later he came back in with a guitar, a record player, and a suitcase. He took a small amplifier out of his suitcase, plugging it into the wall, then plugging his guitar into the amp. He starts to quietly play Your Life, Your Time by Christian Leave, singing along. He smiled as he sang, feeling his stutter go away.
Addic looked up from the book he was reading, he heard music coming from a different room. It wasn't his stile, but it was better than the book he was reading. He got up and slowly walked down the hall, trying to find the room it was coming from. Finally he stoped outside of Avrey's room. Out of everyone he had met, Avrey would not been his first guess, but nonetheless, that was were the music was coming from. He reached up to knock but hesitated. He didn't want to interrupt a jam session, he knew is sucked to be in the middle of a song on the bass and have to stop. So instead he just sat out side of the door and listened.
Wren, meanwhile, was back downstairs. He had seen everyone walk past and smiled at the fact that nobody noticed him. He heads back upstairs after a bit, finding Addic outside of Avrey's door. He raises an eyebrow but doesn't comment.
Avrey starts to really get into the chorus, before messing up on a chord change and realizing he was probably being loud. Blushing, he turns off the amp, collapsing onto his bed. No one heard that, right?
Wren takes out one earbud just as Avrey messes up and sigh. Well, at least he's trying. He goes and knocks on the door, noticing Addic was gone.
Avrey hears the knock, then hurriedly jumps from the bed and opens the door. “S-sorry if I was b-being too loud.” Is the first thing he says. “I-I-I wasn’t thinking”
"No, you're okay, Just wanted to say you're pretty good." Wren says, grinning. He realizes that his hair must be messier than normal and shrugs inwardly. He'd also taken off his jacket and was in a sleeveless tee as well.
Avrey turns red. “Umm… thanks?” He half smiles and looks Wren up and down before closing the door. That was weird…
Wren, prepared to say something else, paused and sighed, grinning at the closed door. That went well, Wren… he thinks to himself, going back to his room.
Avrey sighs, sitting back in his bed and picking out dust in the wind on his guitar, humming instead of singing, so no one would hear him
( @megandawnkorain what do we do now? :’)
(Sorry! Winter break brainwashed me.)
Dr. Leyla Brimstone said nothing after greeting the first guest, and merely watched as they interacted and explored. She sat on one of the couches spread throughout the lounge, checking her watch. Hmm. “If you could all meet down in the lounge by 10!” Which was in a few minutes. She had a list of matches ready to be assigned. She just hoped they were all correct this time.
(gasp- we've got the greenlight-)
Taz reluctantly opened his eyes, feeling his phone buzzing in his pocket. He sighed softly, running his hand through his hair as was his usual habit. He retrieved the phone and stared at it for a solid thirty seconds or so before switching it off. He noted the time and considered heading down to the lounge or waiting a few minutes. He didn't want to appear desperate, but he definitely didn't want to show up late. An odd bubbling feeling in his chest made him frown though. It wasn't nervousness and it wasn't quite excitement, Taz placed his hand on his chest and did his best to stifle the feeling. Heading to the lounge now would probably be the best option. He felt comfortable enough leaving his backpack untended in the room, he knew all of the contents, so if anything went missing he felt fairly confident he would notice.
Opening the door and peeking out, Taz didn't notice anyone walking by. So he headed down to the lounge and leaned against the wall, one leg propped up so that his boot rested on the wallpaper. He pulled his phone from his pocket and did his best to look unapproachable.
(yay!!!)
Avrey checked the time, heart racing as he closed his eyes and continues playing songs by the white stripes, attempting to calm his nerves. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. No one liked him anyways. There was no way his match would be right and they would just be disappointed and he would be left alone again except she wouldn't be there and-
He shook his head, pulling his knees to his chest as he tried to stop the racing thoughts.
9:50. I need to be down there. This isn't something to be late for. He thought, fixing his hair and straightening his jacket before going downstairs. To his surprise, Taz and the Doctor were the only ones in the room. He quickly found a spot on the couch, nervously rubbing his fingers over the buttons of the jacket as he stared at the floor. Oh god, oh god this is it.
(Holy hell…I missed a lot…could anyone give me a rundown of what happened up to these most recent posts? Just so I know what to have my boi do?)
(everyone communicated and then most of us went to our rooms.)
Addic looked up from his book when the doctor called, checked his watch, did another dramatic flop onto his bed, then headed downstairs where Taz, Avrey, and the doctor were all waiting. Addic sat down next to Avrey because Taz looked in no mood to be talked to. "Hey Avrey, I heard you playing, you're really good." He stated, trying to get the obviously nervous guy to loosen up.
Jaxxon walked into the lounge smiling. He plopped down on the first empty seat he saw and waved and the others. “Hey. I’m Jax.”
Avrey blushed, slouching into the couch. “Oh… uh, y-y-you heard that?” He runs a hand through his hair. “S-sorry if I was too loud.” He shyly waves to Jax. “Hey”
