Kendra shrugged at Chrysa. "I'm simply talking to Thomas here and making observations. Nothing worth eavesdropping on."
Kendra shrugged at Chrysa. "I'm simply talking to Thomas here and making observations. Nothing worth eavesdropping on."
"I wasn't eavesdropping," Chrysa responded, "I simply could hear you since you were being that loud."
“Can we please just stop talking about this?” Thomas complained. “He’s going to hear us.”
Noting Thomas's discomfort, Kendra changed the subject. "I'm honestly quite surprised a certain princess didn't join–or at least one of her warriors. A true leader, she is. Doesn't seek approval of others and flawlessly takes control of the uncontrollable."
"Fine," Chrysa shrugged spurring her horse back to the front.
Thomas sighed with relief. He didn’t want to admit he liked the prince—it would just be all the more disappointing when he was rejected. So he tried to concentrate on the current topic of conversation, grateful for Kendra intervening. The other girl seemed okay, she just chose a bad time to enter the conversation, Thomas decided. “It certainly would’ve been helpful, but maybe she has other engagements at present.”
Kendra sighed. "Likely. From what little I've heard, she is tied up in a war. Poor girl. Only 19, but I suppose that's what makes her all the more impressive. If anybody, I would've pegged that Theresa to pop her nose in and tag along for the sake of entertainment. Though, I doubt the King would've approved of her involvement."
“Does the king approve of anything, really?” Thomas asked with an eye roll. “Though I can’t say I’d complain if Theresa joined us.”
"She's a very dangerous and uncontrollable mage," Kendra said. "Ruthless killer and walking explosive. A cheat and liar as well."
Oof, I've been off Notebook for a bit, what'd I miss?//
“What else is new?” Thomas asked, mustering a smirk. He obviously was being a bit sarcastic.
(Thomas and Kendra have just been chatting)
(Cool, lemme write something up for Sarose.)
"I wouldn't underestimate her," Kendra warned. "But I digress." She hummed a short tune as she tilted her head. "So, mind telling me about yourself? I'll return the favor."
Sarose had stopped his horse and was now getting off of it. He had seen some plants that looked like a rare herb so he had stopped, he could care less about the prince or the stupid quest.
“I’m not that exciting,” Thomas replied. “I’m a carpenter who hates his job, and only took it because of my dad. My true passion is art. Painting is my favorite, but any kind of art is good. I daydream a lot. I’m an only child. Is that guy getting off his horse? Is that allowed?”
Chrysa rode up to the one getting off his horse, "What are you doing?"
Kendra listened to Thomas, then turned her head to the man he pointed out. "Well, the prince never said we couldn't get off."
"I don't care. I found a rare herb and the prince can suck it." Sarose stated bluntly, his red eyes glinting. He would get this herb, it was a powerfull sedative.
The prince sighed as he noticed his company coming to a stop. He turned his horse riding over to the boy who had gotten off his horse. "Get back on, we can't afford any delays. These woods aren't as safe as you may think they are." Elias spike coldly.
Thomas watched the prince go reprimand the guy who got off his horse, not really noticing that he was kind of staring. “So, anyway, I’ve told you about myself. Now it’s your turn,” he said to Kendra, tearing his eyes away.
(had to edit bc i posted too late lol)
"I grew up in the woods, I know how safe they are and aren't." Sarose snarked, eyes pretty damn dead inside. He took out his gloves and began to pull at the prickly plant, getting about half a stem and a few leaves.
"I don't give a shit where you grew up. Get on your horse now or I'll knock you out amd we'll leave you to die. The choice is yours but you better choose fast because I am not a patien man." Elias snarled, reaching for the dagger behind his back.
"Try and hurt me with the dagger and I stop your heart. This is a powerful sedative and poison. Like hell, if I'm leaving it." Sarose replied, calm as ever as he continued to pick at the plant with confidance.
"If you don't hurry the fuck up I'll slit your throat. I don't give a shit about you or your plant. You're just one less mouth to feed." The Prince was agitated now. He didn't want to be here, especially not with this lot. He justed wanted to be away from his father's eyes.
