Callie, who had been silent and worried, nodded. "Yeah," she said, not wanting to say anything and really just wanting to get out of there as soon as possible.

(Now let's wait for Izzy, so we don't leave her behind)
(Just thought of this, but Winston's just a less edgy Fang)
(Aww thanks for waiting!)
"But seriously, what were you guys thinking?" Ellie asked, worry edging her voice. "You could've been killed!"
Winston frowned, looking down at his feet.
"Um….can we have this conversation in private?" he asked quietly, gesturing over to an empty corner away from the flock.
Reese nodded and walked towards the corner, looking at the other two expectantly
She glanced at the rest of the flock, worry showing in her eyes. Heaving a big sigh, she replied, "Fine," as she headed over to the corner. "Stay here, we'll be back," she called to them.
"Resse," Winston said, shaking his head, "I meant me and Ellie. You go help the kids pack up."
Reese groaned and walked back, grumbling the whole way. "It wasnt my fault!" He called back. He smiled and looked at the others. "First one to pack up their stuff gets flying privileges." He smiled. Being on the run meant that they had to hide their wings too so flying was a fairly uncommon thing.
"Hey, I want flying privileges!" Ellie called back, grumbling slightly, but not really meaning it. Honestly, she didn't care that much. Once they got to more country-like areas, it would be more likely that they'd all get flying "privileges," as Reese had dubbed them.
"Listen," Winston said, slipping his hands into his hoodie with a wince. I should probably tell her about my back. "I didn't see them Erasers soon enough. It was my fault that we was spotted, so I wanted to go 'n make it right. I get it was foolish and out of character, but I just felt like I needed to make it up to you guys."
His hair had fallen, so he reached up and pushed his hair out of his face, exposing an ugly bruise over his eye from when a punch clipped him.
"Look, what's done is done, But now you have injuries that'll make you, make us more easily identifiable," Ellie sighed. "But I get it, we just need to get away from these Erasers. There surely are more, aren't there?"
"I didn't knock the other one out, so I imagine that he's callin' for back-up." The thought just made him feel even worse. "God, I'm screwin' up bad today."
"Let's just get out of this place, okay? We can deal with the Erasers later," Ellie grabbed his hand and pulled him back towards the rest of the group.
He winced again when she tugged his arm, but didn't protest. To be honest, he just too tired.
"Any of you guys got any bandages?" Winston asked when they reached the flock again.
Ellie may not've noticed his wince earlier, but now she did. She stopped short and faced him, head on. "That isn't your only injury, is it?" she said in a low voice, putting her hands on his shoulders.
"I got cut on my back," he said, avoiding her eyes. "I'm not sure how bad, but it felt pretty deep."
"Oh my god, we can't go to a hospital… seriously, you can't just rush into a battle like that! What about him?" Ellie gestured to Reese.
"Bit on the shoulder," he admitted, pulling a face and looking down at his feet. "It isn't bad, though. He barely even noticed it in the fight."
"Come on guys, let's just get out of here," Ellie replied, sighing.
"I'm sorry," he said, scratching the back of his neck.
It could've quite possibly be the first time he'd ever apologized to Ellie. Everything he did, he held a supreme confidence that it was the correct course of action, so he never apologized when things went down the drain. Except for now, obviously.
"No, don't be sorry… just… you may have done "justice," but that doesn't mean you're incapable of being hurt," Ellie said.
(Oof, I forgot he got bit! Lemme fix that)
Reese winced and saw a small red spot forming on his sweatshirt and looked at Winston. "Winst? I need your help a bit. I'm going to the bathroom, follow me there." He said going there and taking off his sweatshirt to see a row of teeth marks on his shoulder.
Winston followed in about 5 minutes, wincing at the sight of his friend's would.
"That looks much than I thought it was," he mumbled, stepping inside and shutting the door with his foot.
"What's taking them so long?" Jax grumbled impatiently as she waited with the younger kids outside McDonald's. Being the youngest of the Flock, she never got to be part of anything. It wasn't fair! She was thirteen, almost fourteen. It wasn't like she was some little kid! Plus, she could fight pretty decently, but Reese and Winston would never let her try. "They tell us to hurry, and now they're holding us up." She leaned against the wall, her arms crossed.
