“Sounds like a very enticing offer- the pain killers, that is. But there is no way in hell I’m getting lung cancer because of some goddamn cigarettes,” Vaughn said, staring up at the ceiling as he spoke.
“Sounds like a very enticing offer- the pain killers, that is. But there is no way in hell I’m getting lung cancer because of some goddamn cigarettes,” Vaughn said, staring up at the ceiling as he spoke.
"Oh, what's a little cancer when you've got fifty million other things to die from," he said. Truth be told he hadn't entirely intended on getting hooked on the cigarettes, it was just something that had happened. But they helped with his anxiety, which was a plus he supposed
“Doesn’t matter,” Vaughn mumbled in response, clinging to the faltering high. He rested his head back onto a pillow. Man, it wasn’t all that comfy.
"What's your lifespan? 70 years? 80?" he asked, deciding to reach for more painkillers. He had almost gotten his pain down to a tolerable level, he just needed a few more pills. He pulled out a larger bottle than before, something that looked a lot stronger. He would probably be higher than a kite off it for a half hour at least
Vaughn shrugged his shoulders loosely in response. “Hell if I know,” he said, fingers now running through his hair, feeling the soft strands. At the rate he was going, injury wise, he doubted he would live to see 30.
"Well my unreasonably muscular friend, I'm looking at mid 20's at best. I have so many things wrong with me I might as well add onto them," he said, taking a few of the pills and swallowing them. He laid back against the pillows, throwing the bottle into his bag lazily
Unreasonably muscular? Vaughn looked at himself with a frown before laying his head back on the stupid pillow. “So you’re just slowly killing yourself? Smart,” he said in a sarcastic tone.
"Well I have no one left to care, so why not? Only reason I'm not dead already is because of my dumb cousin and his parents." He didn't really mean that his cousin was dumb. The kid was actually incredibly smart even though he didn't apply himself. His aunt and uncle however really were idiots. It was their fault he was like this in the first place
“Well there’s three people, so not zero,” Vaughn said, his high beginning to fade away as he laid there in bed. His fingers ran over the sheets distractedly as he glanced around the room.
"I'm not alive because they care. I'm alive because my aunt and uncle put me here so I wouldn't ruin their precious reputation," he muttered, drumming his fingers on the sheets absently
//is this just going to turn into another slow burn kazvaughn rp lmao
(Are we complaining? No. lol)
Vaughn scoffed softly, shaking his head slowly. “Wouldn’t be surprised. With all of your issues, I would have thrown you in here as well.”
(No one else in interacting so they’re just annoying each other at this point lmao)
(no we've just been sitting here doing stuff until we got the other pairs back. I've been meaning to start the actual lab part of the rp for a while now, we just haven't had enough people on lol)
"Well princess, you're here too. So you've obviously got issues as well," Kaz muttered. He could feel the pain in his body being slowly replaced by a light feeling as the meds kicked in
“Quit calling me that,” Vaughn snapped, his sharper personality coming back. “And I’ll admit that I’ve got issues, I don’t deny it.”
//four of us are on is that good enough xD
And I would interact but venezia’s idea of interacting is probably loudly judging the other person so uh
(Lol. And Aliana's a creepy little psycho.)
(alrighty well in that case we could probably start the lab part again)
Kaz opened his mouth to respond, but the crackling of a loudspeaker cut him off. "Attention all residents. Please report to the cafeteria for selection immediately," a monotonous recording played. There was a loud buzz, and all of the doors swung open of their own accord. Kaz scowled, silently thanking whatever god was out there that he had taken the pills right before this
Aliana heard the loud speaker she turned to Venezia, "You up?"
Vaughn sat up, frowning heavily. He got up, stretching his arms out, feeling a pop in his shoulder as he did so. “What do you think this is about?” He asked, stepping towards the now opened door.
Kaz shrugged, getting up to peer out the door with him. "Not sure. Never heard of selection for something in an asylum," he said, frowning lightly. Several of the older members looked calm, hopeful even as they walked towards the cafeteria. "Maybe we're getting free cake?"
“Yes, I am awake now,” she grumbled, slowly sitting up and glaring at the PA system. At the sight of the door, her eyes widened and she instantly stood up, starting to leave before turning to her roommate. “Well, this is exciting.”
Aliana smiled as she skipped out the room, "Does this happen often?"
“Please tell me you’re joking,” Vaughn scoffed as he made his way down the hall. He followed the flow of people, head lowered as he allowed his hair to fall into his eyes. He glanced around at others warily, keeping track of any important detail.
