Neva couldn't help but jump everytime thunder rolled

"Hey it's okay were home now." Alex said softly ash they pulled into the driveway

Neva quickly got out of the car and inside with Brutus

Alex followed them inside and shut the door "are you okay?'

" ..yeah.."

"Why don't you take Brutus upstairs well introduce him and ace tomorrow?"

" alright.."

"I'll be up in a minute okay?"

" okay.."

Alex went to the kitchen to grab some candles and a lighter in case the power went out and a few blankets before heading up stairs

Neva was curled in the blankets with Brutus at her feet

"Hey baby I got do candles in case the power goes out and a few more blankets."

"thank you.." she said softly

''Mhm.'' Alex set the candles around the room and lit them before laying down with neva and Brutus

" I love you.."

"I love you too."

" I'm tired."

"Go to sleep then."

" I can't.."

"I promise I'll stay here with you nothing is going to happen babygirl."
