The door of the Black Cat Bookstore let out a soft jingle as Chelsea pushed it open. Stepping back, she pulled the door so that Marcus could make his way into the shop.
The door of the Black Cat Bookstore let out a soft jingle as Chelsea pushed it open. Stepping back, she pulled the door so that Marcus could make his way into the shop.
Marcus stepped inside the shop, still muttering his shopping list under his breath. He needed a new spare chain for his necklace, and he needed more flasks since he had accidentally broken some in his last bit of alchemy experimentation
Sitting atop the polished counter was Bamboo, with his head still up in the air, loudly reciting scenarios in which Lau had "abused" him. Eventually, Sariel gave Bamboo's shoulder a push, causing the cat to give him a false look of being hurt.
"You injure me," Bamboo said, looking to see if Florence and Lau had seen.
"You're just dramatic," Sariel said as Florence hopped over the small gate that allowed the employees behind the counter, accompanied by Lau.
"The horrible story of Bamboo the familiar and how he was brutally attacked by a Forest Sprite!" She said, a wide grin still on her face. Because of the silence in the building, her voice could be heard even upstairs.
(Just a warning, I won't be on for a little while.)
(Awesome thanks!)

Are you gonna post?
Quince cheerfully hummed to himself and headed forward, turning back every few minutes to make sure he wasn't leaving Kai behind.
I sense a great friendship will bloom… Downpour quietly said to Tsunami, who nodded.
Kai galloped a little to catch up with Quince "how much farther is it?" He asked
I'm back.))
“Not much farther,”. Quince grabbed Kai’s arm and pointed to fancy building with a colorful sign on it, “See? Right there!”
“Hiya!” Chelsea waved to Sariel and Florence with a bounce in her step. “Do you have any books on protective magics?”
Marcus looked up, distracted again by Chelsea. "Protective magics..?" he asked slowly, a brow raised in curious questioning
“My magic style mostly revolves around these bubbles I create.” Chelsea explained, gesturing at Flip, who had been oddly silent this whole time. “I want to learn more uses for them, as they are mostly good for floating objects, and I though learning defensive spells would be a good start! You know, like shields and barriers?”
"Yeah, yeah, I know what defensive magics are. I'm relatively good at them myself, though I prefer alchemy if I'm being honest," Marcus answered, Xolo sticking his tongue out and wiggling a little in agreement
“Nice! I kinda suck at alchemy,” Chelsea admitted, blushing with embarrassment. “I’m not actually very good at magic in general, but I have published a couple magicology papers. I can do the theory, just not the execution, you know?”
Marcus nodded in understanding. "I've found many witches often are born with specific talents. Mine happened to be alchemy and shifting," he said with a small shrug
May I join possibly?
(Anyone on??)
“Not much farther,”. Quince grabbed Kai’s arm and pointed to fancy building with a colorful sign on it, “See? Right there!”
(Sorry for disappearing!!!)
Kai looked at the building as his eyes shone with amazement "let's go!" He yelled and started marching
(It's fine)
Quince laughed and skipped ahead racing to the building, "Bet you can't beat me," He yelled
The koi didn't like the speed so they jumped of Quince's shoulder and slowly followed him instead
Kat, a competitive fox, grew larger and tossed Kai over her shoulder and yipped 'faster!' she said gleefully
Quince glanced back with surprise, then jumped up so his fish could slip under his feet and grow bigger, "Yeah let's go!"
Aye! The fish chanted.
Kai glanced back and grinned "seems like I'll win!" He responded
Quince sighed, then muttered an incantation, one of the few he knew, in seconds he was ahead again and at the door. He had used a speed incantation to speed up Downpour and Tsunami. "You sure?" He grinned, playfully.
"Oh it's on!" Kai said, muttering a spell and making the distance to the building longer "foxes are really fast because they are lightweight!"
