Halo looks up, his eyes glancing towards the reaper. He nods silently, "Halo…" He says softly, "What about you." he asks quietly, "What's yours?" he asks quietly, his eyes filled with curiosity. They come upon a small hut and he smiles softly, "Home sweet home." He says quietly.
Halo, Thatcher thought as he nodded slowly. A perfect name for an innocent angel. Hell, what was he thinking? He barely knew Halo, he shouldn’t be thinfknif things like that about people yet. “Thatcher,” he answered in a level tone, an emotionless look on his face. Once they got to Halo’s home, he glanced the small building up and down.
Halo opens the door and a small dog rushes out. "Hey Glitch!" He says excitedly, hugging the dog gently. "Uh… this is Glitch." He says softly, setting the smaller dog down gently. He smiles softly and looks down.
Nike began to snarl loudly at the smaller dog, but Thatcher gave a sharp whistle. “Nike, no,” he snapped, and the dogs ears lowered. He leaned forward to whisper to the hound, a hand stroking behind her ears. Nike backed away from the door, giving one last growl before bounding away. “Glitch?” He repeated when he turned to look at the small dog.
Glitch looks towards his master and barks happily. He chuckles and looks down, picking the dog up. "Yeah, he's my companion when I get lonely." He says lightly, Halo smiles and calms down. "He's friendly." he says gently.
Thatcher gave a wary look before reaching out and feeling the dogs fur with his fingertips. He didn’t know why, but the feeling of certain things were enough to make him in a better mood. Smooth things, mostly- like the way that he thought that Halo’s skin might feel. But that was a stupid thought that his slightly lustful mind conjured up.
Glitch barks happily and nuzzles into Thatchers hand. Halo smiles softly, "Do you want to come in?" He asks softly, motioning towards the house. He smiles towards Thatcher, "We can stay out here if you wanted." He says nervously.
“I will come inside,” Thatcher answered with a nod of his head. He gave the small dog one last stroke before his hand moved to rub at his injured bicep. He blew hair from his face, lips pursed as he glanced at the front door.
Halo nods, "Please make yourself at home." He beters the house, setting Glitch down and walking towards the kitchen. "You wanted some water, right?" He asks quietly as he heads towards the fridge.
“Yes, water would be nice,” Thatcher answered. He stayed standing, walking around slowly as he took in part of the inside of the house. He went into the kitchen as well, clicking his tongue a bit. “You have a lovely home,” he commented.
He nods and pours some water into a glass and walks it to him. "Thank you." He says softly, walking back into the kitchen to set out food for Glitch. He barks happily and starts to eat. He laughs softly and looks at the ground, before motioning to the living room, "Please… sit…" he says softly, grabbing some water for himself.
Thatcher took the water from Halo, giving a brief thanks before stepping into the living room. He looked around the room for a moment before taking a seat on the edge of a sofa, the position slightly awkward looking considering how long his legs were. He sipped at his water slowly, glancing up at the ceiling.
Halo releases a small sigh and joins Thatcher in the living room. "D-do you need a place to stay?" He asks quietly. "I have an extra room upstairs if you need it." he says, taking a sip from his water.
“I don’t need sleep. I will watch over you- inside or outside of your bedroom. Whichever is preferred,” Thatcher answered, straightening his posture and turning his head to look at Halo. Sleep seemed like a way to waste time to him. He would much rather be doing something useful than shutting his eyes for hours on end.
"uh… I'm fine with either… I normally sleep with my door open." He asks quietly. He pets Glitch gently and sighs softly, shaking his head.
Thatcher gave a nod in response, running a hand through his hair before taking a quick sip of water. “I will wait outside of the bedroom, then,” he said, more to himself than to Halo.
Glitch barks a little bit, hopping off Halo's lap and trots towards the door, pawing at it a little bit. Halo lets him out and leans against the door, sighing softly. He takes a sip of water before walking back into the room. He hums softly, smiling quietly.
Thatcher’s eyes followed Halo as he walked, like he was studying the angel. “Shouldn’t you do something about your injuries?” He questioned when Halo walked back into room, gaze trained on the other’s injured wings.
He smiles softly, "They'll heal on their own." he says quietly. He hums, relaxing a little as he walks into the kitchen placing his cup in the sink. He hums softly, returning to the living room and sitting down. He sighs quietly and leans his head back.
Thatcher still continued to frown at that, but nodded his head slowly. He went back to watching Halo in silence for a few minutes before speaking again. “You seem.. off,” he said.
"Mmm? Just a little tired." He says softly, looking up at the other, "I can assure you, I'm okay." he smiles sweetly and shakes his head to wake himself up. He runs a hand through his hair and looks towards Thatcher, his eyes curious, but also very, very nervous.
“Why don’t you try to sleep, then?” Thatcher suggested, a brow arching slightly. He still had his constant emotionless expression on his face, but bits of emotion could be hinted at in his eyes as he spoke to Halo.
Halo shrugs, "I mean, I could, but… what would you do while I slept?" he asks, tilting his head. He folds his hands across his lap. He looked so… innocent and curious. His wings casually wrap around him.
“I already said before. I can watch over you. The hunters will probably be searching for you more now because their leader is dead. I will need to be alert,” Thatcher responded, glancing Halo over. Halo did seem like a very innocent soul, someone who wasn’t used to this sort of violence and pain.
Halo nods, gulping softly. "O-oh… Okay…" He says softly, his eyes going down cast. He was so nervous and scared. He takes a small breath and allows himself to calm down.
