Thatcher nodded his head in response. He caught Halo’s gaze, holding it for a moment before he forced his eyes away. He bit his lower lip softly, once again feeling the slight urge to jus grab onto Halo.
Halo smiles softly under the others gaze. He was quiet for a moment. "You almost seem hesitant. Is something wrong?"
“No, nothing is wrong,” Thatcher answered. He looked back at Halo, eyes glancing over his facial features for a moment. “I am alright,” he added after a moment of silence.
Halo nods slowly, finishing his food. He had very little to eat. He hums, standing and placing the bowl in the sink and washing it. "What do you want to do?" he asks curiously.
Thatcher thought for a moment before speaking. “I should get a bit more cleaned up, possibly,” he said, looking down at his blood splattered clothes and hands. He still had his own blood smeared on his face as the bruising became more noticeable.
Halo nods, smiling a little. "Bathroom is down the hall, first door on the right. Feel free to take a bath or shower or whatever." he says, a little smile on his face.
“Okay, I may get a quick shower,” Thatcher said with a nod of his head. He looked down at Nike, wondering if he should put her outside. She wouldn’t listen to Halo, and he was worried she may attack him if he does something. So, he walked to the backdoor, clicking his tongue for her to go outside. The hound gave him a look, the ears on one of the heads drooping comically as she walked outside.
Halo looks at Nike, "She's welcome to stay, if she wants. I don't mind." He says casually, humming as he starts to clean up a little.
“I know that you don’t mind, but if she gets restless, she may attack you, and I wouldn’t be around to stop her,” Thatcher explained, shutting the door once she was outside. He stepped over, remembering where he was told to go. “I will not take long,” he said, taking out the slip of paper and pen, giving it to Halo. “Keep this with you for now.”
Halo nods, watching as he places the dog outside. He takes the pen and paper, his eyes glancing down to his hands where the paper lays. He sighs softly and walks towards the living room.
Thatcher walks off, eventually going into the bathroom and shutting the door. He looked at his bruised face in the mirror, frowning at himself for a moment. He couldn’t do anything to Halo when he looked like this. With a sigh, he began to undress, turning on the water to the shower afterwards before he finished undressing and got into the shower.
Halo flops down on the cough and sighs softly, shaking his head and lifts Glitch up to rest next to him. He pets the top of Glitches head absently, shaking his head slightly.
Thatcher washed the blood off of his body, wincing softly when the water would hit any open wounds. He sighed as the tension left his body, and he ran his hands through tangles in his hair. It felt a bit nice to be alone for a moment, the only sound being the water rushing from the shower head.
Halo slowly fell asleep on the couch, his wings wrapped around himself as he rests, using his hands as a pillow.
Thatcher washed his hair with a bit of shampoo and conditioner, scrubbing himself off with a bit of soap afterwards. After he was all rinsed off, he turned off the water and got out of the shower. He found a towel and dried himself off a bit, his hair growing messy. He eventually got dressed again and came out of the bathroom.
Halo was still asleep. His lips are slightly parted, some stray hair falling in front of his eyes. His breathing is gentle and light.
Thatcher walked into the living room, finding Halo asleep. He leaned against the back of the sofa, watching him closely and how peaceful he seemed to look while he was sleeping. He wondered if Halo would wake up if he moved him to his bed. Halo would be more comfortable there..
Halo lets out a soft whimper in his sleep, shivering slightly, then giving a strangled cry. He goes still, but a look of pain etches its self on his face. Glitch whimpers softly, pawing at his hand.
Thatcher frowned, noticing that Halo seemed to be having a bad dream. He thought that he must be deep in a sleep, so he decided he would put Halo to bed. He stepped around the couch, carefully lifting Halo’s small frame into his arms with a bit of ease. He checked to make sure he hadn’t woken up before carrying him to his bedroom.
Halo clings to the sudden warmth he had gained, shivering madly in his sleep. He didn't have nightmares, he hand night terrors. His shakes and shivers, nuzzling into the warmth, not realizing in his deep sleep that it was actually Thatcher.
Thatcher wondered why Halo seemed so cold, and he help the other a but closer to his chest. He went into Halo’s bedroom, gently laying him down. He shifted the covers, pulling them up to cover Halo.
A small cry left Halo's lips the moment he wad put down, instantly missing the warmth. He shivers, shaking a little. A small, crystal tear falls down his face.
Thatcher let out a small breath as he watched Halo. Reluctantly and hesitantly, he sat down, shifting Halo a bit so the angel could lean up against him. He hated to see Halo this way, and he wondered if he should wake the other up. Unsure, he just pulled Halo closer to him.
Halo shivers again but eases when Thatcher sat beside him. He nuzzles into Thatcher, giving a small and content sigh.
