(OK.)
This is a mess. I never was very good with humans. He thought, standing over this demon-spawn, Cleo. He decided to gather the others, finally, he disappeared from her room.
From outside the room, he converged, as a swarm of insects, buzzing and squirming, doubling in on itself, and merged into him.
Right in front of the small boy with the sideswept black hair and slate blue eyes he knew as Scipionaerri.
"Hello." He said, monotone.
Scipio sat up calmly and waved, moving to sit cross legged on the bed. "Hey. Guess you're here to like, collect us for something?" He supported his head with one hand, which he had on his knee.
"You are less naive than the others. I was not informed of this. I am an angel of Heaven, Powers, Second Echelon." He replied, robotically. "My name is Marduk."
"Hey, I'm just not an idiot. I'm Scipio, but I'm assuming you already know that." Scipio yawned a bit. "So what are we getting collected for? I'm pretty much open to anything at this point."
"I have yet to be informed." Marduk replied. "I assume you will be used as powerful tools for Heaven, given lives of luxury." The angel inferred.
"I'm no tool either, but I suppose I can make an exception… might as well, right? It's not like I've got literally anything else to do. When are we leaving?" Scipio stood up, a small black nose appearing near his feet. (It's just his secret dog don't worry lol)
"Right now." The angel replied. "Which is your room?" He asked, looking intently around.
"This one." Scipio moved his foot back slowly so Ragno would go back under the bed fully. "Why do you ask?"
The angel simply opened the window. "I'll catch you." He replied, disappearing in the night with a gleam of silver hair.
Cassiel had made it down to the ground. It hadn't been easy, nor graceful. But she was out. She was free. She had a cut on her cheek. Again. And she was fairly certain she had sprained her wrist. But that would fade eventually. Humming quietly, she set off at a quick pace towards the nearest lake.
"Alright." Scipio shrugged and picked up Ragno, jumping out of the window with no hesitation. Honestly, if this didn't work and he died, he wouldn't have cared much. Anything to get out of the stupid orphanage.
The angel dropped, one story, two stories, even more, landing flawlessly with a cold gust of air. Next to Cassiel.
Azure eyes turned her way as a rare smile crossed his face
(Scipio already yeeted himself out the window XD)
Cassiel rolled her eyes and kept walking, popping a stick of gum in her mouth. This is stupid. Who here had the money for this kind of prank? Angel, yeah right, she thought to herself, shaking her head.
The angel suddenly crouched, shooting upward, he caught Scipio a story from the ground, and then came plummeting perfectly down to Earth, making sure the dog was safe, he put the boy and dog down.
"Cool… who else is coming?" Scipio's heart was pounding, honestly, but he didn't betray any physical signs of him thinking he was about to die. He pet Ragno's ears, the poor dog seeming terrified.
"Cleo and Fran." The angel stated, monotonously, exploding into a swarm of flying insects.
Scipio nodded and sat down with his dog, deciding it would be a bit before the others were out. Ragno whined quietly, trembling. "You're fine… I only jumped out a window."
Looking over her shoulder, Cassie's eyes widened slightly, the only indicator of her shock. Where does someone get that many bugs? She wondered before shrugging, blowing a bubble with her gum, and crossing the street.
"Hey, Cas. Where do you think you're going, hmm?" Scipio asked, still petting Ragno.
Fran heard the talking stop from the rooms and assumed everyone had gone to sleep. He wasn't sure what time it was but didn't necessarily care at this point. He went back into his own room hoping he could fall asleep or find something semi productive and entertaining to do.
Marduk greeted him, stepping out of Fran's room as he opened the door.
"Hello, are you Fran? My name is Marduk and I am an angel of Heaven." He greeted the same way he did with all the others.
Whirling around, Cassiel marched back across the street, seething with anger. "No one gets to call me Cas," she growled lowly, a spark of flame igniting on her finger before she quenched it.
"Yeah, okay, but I just did and you literally did nothing about it. Although, I suppose that's a good thing. Wouldn't want to hurt the dog." He scratched behind Ragno's ears.
