"Wha?" He asked while looking at Juniper
"Wha?" He asked while looking at Juniper
"You mumbled something."
"No I didn't."
"Whatever." It probably wasn't important. It would be a waste of resources to pursue research further, so she ignored whatever he might've said. If he said it out loud, why didn't he want anyone to hear it? Because his mind was not under lock and key, he didn't know that was the safest place to hide his thoughts. No one can reach information that never makes it outside.
"Okay then." He said.
"We have arrived." Juniper said, grinning back at him after a minute of crawling. Their ultimate destination.
"I'm not scaring them, just saying." He said as he looked around.
"No, idiot. We are right above the kitchen, we're going to raid the cookie jar!"
"Should I get it or what?"
"There's no one down there, so lets just burst in like we are in a spy movie. Then, stuff our faces and pockets and make a run for it."
"I'm not doing that, you do that if you want to."
"Watch me!" Juniper had already unscrewed the grate and removed it. She jumped down, landing a on both feet and one arm on the counter directly below. She vaulted off and landed softly on the tile. Walking to the other side of the room, she opened the cupboard to see the abundance of snacks. She stuffed as many knockoff Oreo cookies as possible into her jacket before jumping back onto the counter.
"Help me back up!"
He held out his right hand for her to get up as his left hand helped him stay where he was so he didn't fall and split his head open.
(I'm on for a bit…)
(Whoop!)
(I believe Ellen was the last to say something…)
"I don't want to." Ellen drew up her knees against her chest. "She's like Aunt Alex."
"Aunt Alex, I do not have an aunt Alex,"
Ellen nodded. "Yup. Got any aunts at all?"
"Yes, I do not like them." James shrugged.
Ellen nodded. "Any cousins?"
"Yes, cousins, I do like them."
"That's good. I have two cousins. Aunt Alex's kids. Ryan and Blanche." Ellen chuckled. "Blanche is such a weird name."
"Blanche is a medieval French nickname meaning white and fair. It also derived from Germanic word blanc." James smiled, "Weird because it is old,"
"Oh cool! She was definitely white. Not sure about fair, but definitely white. Barely went outside." Ellen chuckled. "That jus makes her name more hilarious."
"Yes quite," He nodded but didn't laugh.
