"Did you get the secret plans?" a heavy voice asked her.
"Yes," she replied, looking at them. "They're in my hands."
"Good. Bring them to me immediately."
"I will." The person hung up. Peggy sighed and waited a minute before standing up to deliver the payload.
Raziel sighed "welp there going a fine night of hunting." he walked back to his home near the edge of the forest. He placed his swords in their holders and took off his cloak. "Chara?" he called "where are you girly?" his wolf bounded out from her hiding place "hi, sorry no treats tonight," he stroked her head and say down with a sigh
Vixian sat down on her off-white loveseat and contemplated. "If I don't contact my boss I could get in trouble but if I contact my boss and don't have the plans I could get in more trouble." Vixian said aloud to herself. Her Siamese cat, Juno, jumped on to her lap and started purring.
Cleona sat comfortably on the floor, leaning up against the front of her master's throne with a soft smile. He stroked her hair, lovingly, as they watched the other assassins in their guild fight within the training ring. He had been pleased with her gift and even more so at the information she conveyed from Kitsune. She could see a plan forming within his dark green eyes. Soon it would be time to kill again.
Peggy ducked into her house. Or, more, living quarters. The plans were tight in her grip. An idea grew in her mind. Maybe… It would definitely help, sure, but it was risky. Especially now that she contacted her employer.
Raziel, feeling particularly bold decided to give his old master a visit. He ride westward towards the guild. "Longtime no see Rowan, see you've got a new pet" he smirked at Cleona and bowed to the man in respect
Within a moment, Cleona had a silver dagger at Raziel's throat, her eyes glittering with something other than mayhem. "I see the old pet returns for scraps." She said mildly. Rowan chuckled behind them both. "My two progenies, always at each others throats. Come Cleona, I told Raziel he may return to us at any time."
Cleona pulled away, but only after she nicked Raziel's skin with her blade. Once she perched on the arm of Rowan's throne, he spoke again. "What is it you want, my boy?"
(Is there still a spot open?)
He glanced down at his long white hair, seeing it was stained with his blood "always and forever Rowan. But no, I haven't come back begging for my old position, I've come here for a simple favor." he dared a step closer to the throne "Keep an eye out for the other assassins, the queen is dead, and now the land is owned by us, you won't be sitting pretty on that throne for long if one of the other assassins gets it first." he smirked in the direction of Cleona then back at Rowen "I wouldn't want to see my old friend get hurt." he said honestly. "Oh and one more thing, keep an eye on Peggy, she's up to something…something dangerous." He bowed once more and turned on heal "Give my regards to my brother."
(all I'm imagining during their conversation is King by zayde Wolfe playing in the background XD)
Rowan, King of the most powerful assassin guild in their kingdom, looked on after Raziel, eyes darkening with the knowledge he had shared. "Interesting." He murmured to no one in particular. He reach forward to tangle his fingers into Cleona's soft tresses as he thought aloud. "Although I never much wanted to be a true King, the notion of an open throne is hard to resist. I shall think on it." He pushed Cleona gently of the arm of his throne towards Raziel's retreating form. "See what you can find out, my pet." He said to her. She nodded and darted off, scooping up her sword as she did so.
She caught up to Raziel within a few moments. "For someone who had left the guild, you seem to have a lingering sense of loyalty." She said to him, voice low, but when she looked up at him her eyes were still gleaming with mischief.
He glanced back "I have had no reason to be disloyal to Rowan, he's one of the best assassins and has been a good friend of mine since we were kids. I just choose not to be one of his pets, for him to play with and throw out when he's done." he whistled lowly for his wolf. "Hey girl," Chara growled at Cleona in distaste and sat behind Raziel "good girl." Take what i told you to heart, I'm not joking around about the other assassins being power hungry, they will come for you and Rowen. Be careful. Next time you want to hold a sword to my throat, please be mindful of the hair." he said with his usual charm. "See you round Silver."
no but you can join
(Then why does it say one spot open? Close it!)
(I forgot to edit that part XD but you can still join!)
(Another assassin…a family member of the queen's…… I have no idea, whatever you like, that you think will fit the theme)
(hm i guess I could be like, a daughter or something.)
Cleona's jaw tightened and her eyes dulled once again to their impassive state. So that's how he thinks of me.
"I may be his loyal servant, but I am no toy. He doesn't use me." She wasn't sure why she was defending herself, but she felt that he needed to know. "You know I can handle my own. They can come, but they cant kill me off so easily. Many of them have already tried." She flicked an invisible spec of dust off her hand, arrogant in the extreme. A playful smile ghosted across her lips as she spoke to his back as he walked away. "Next time I have a blade to your throat, I'll be killing you, old friend….I miss our little talks, Raziel. You should come back more often."
An invitation, one she doubted he'd take up, but she offered it anyway.
"Maybe I will, after this mess is over, in the meantime, I wouldn't draw attention to myself or those closest." he glanced back at the throne room, to where he knew Rowan was sitting and smiled "Keep each other safe Cleona, he'll do anything to protect you, including laying down his life. A reason why I'm staying away for a bit." he stared at her for a moment longer, before smiling and walking away with Chara.
Peggy put her mask on the table and sighed. Her communicator buzzed and she ignored it. "SASHA, scramble codes on my communicator," she said.
"Working on it," a feminine voice said from a room away.
Celona said nothing as Raziel disappeared with his wolf, a frown replaced the smile she had given him. He had misunderstood what she had said, as he always did. Maybe she was a fool to keep trying. "Rowan is not the one I want." She whispered into the darkness of the hall. Her deepest secret. He may be her master, one that she loved, but he did not have her heart. She sighed, spinning gracefully on a heel. She returned to the throne room, to sit at her master's side. Maybe she'd fight tonight…
(ahhhhhhhhhh dang do I feel a love triangle forming???????)
He smiled at his wolf "you really don't like her do you girl?" Chara growled in response. "alright fine, next time I won't make you come." he smiled and started sprinting towards his home
Peggy got an energy bar from her cupboard and went back into the room that the voice had come from. "Scrambling codes: Process complete. New codes coming online now."
"Thanks, SASHA," Peggy said, sitting at the desk behind her computer.
"Shall I run diagnostics to reinforce the firewall?"
"Yes, please," Peggy confirmed.
(In case you can't tell, SASHA is Peggy's JARVIS.)
