"I shouldn't have left you," she repeated firmly. "You or Mom…"
"Mom wasn't gonna leave that monster. When she wasn't home he'd hit me. I tried to tell her but she always thought I did it for attention." Vixian sighed. "But that made me stronger. It made me inspired to find you again one day and follow your path."
Peggy pressed her lips together – not that Vixian could see. "And here we are."
"I thought you hated me. Mom always blamed me for driving you away." Vixian said, sadly remembering back to the words their mother screamed at her one night while she was drunk. Look what you've done, you drove Peggy away. She was the daughter I hoped would stay not you, I wish I never had you! Vixian shed a tear, whipping it away quickly so Peggy couldn't see.
Raziel walked into the cafe, pulling his hold over his eyes, trying not to draw attention to himself, though not succeeding very well because of the wolf at his side. "One hot chocolate and a water. With a side of no questions asked." He told the lady at the counter
Peggy bit her lip. Slowly, she shifted her hand forward and put it on top of Vixian's. "Why would I hate you? If anything, I'm surprised you don't hate me…"
"I would never hate you. I should have followed you after you left. Mom would have never noticed. She.. she was to busy with the new baby anyways." Vixian looked down at Peggy's hand that was atop of hers.
"Wait, what?" Peggy blinked. "New baby?"
(shit got real!)
Raziel heard the yell of surprised and glanced around, seeing the two assassins in the back booth "dang how small is Chicago?" He looked around and found a booth to sit at. Chara layed in the booth across from him "sir, no animals allowed" the lady with their drinks said. He flashed her a grin "then you'll have to kick me out too." She blushed and walked away giggling. Raz rolled his eyes and gave the water to Chara
"Yeah, her and that twat had a baby boy. Named him Marcus." Vixian rolled her eyes. "Bratest child ever, he's so spoiled."
"Incoming: Raziel is here." Peggy felt a shiver run down her spine. Now? "Oh, well… um, I guess it was a good distraction for you to escape then," she replied absently, scanning the cafe for Raziel.
"What's wrong?" Vixian asked, watching Peggy's body language change.
Raziel sipped his chocolate, lazily leaning back in his booth hm, wonder if anyone else is here. He glanced around and saw no other familiar faces, though he found some people staring at him and Chara.
"Uh Peg, I have something to tell you…." Vixian said.
"Uh Peg, I have something to tell you…." Vixian said.
"Hm?" Peggy hummed in response, finally location Raziel. There he is.
He locked eyes with Peggy after a few more glanced around the cafe and winked. Standing up and paying a tip, we waved to Chara and slipped out the door
(Wouldn't he lock eyes with Peggy?)
(yeah I messed up, sorry😂)
(Lol, thanks!)
Peggy felt her breath catch in her throat when he looked at her. You're so stupid, Peggy, she told herself. You can't love him. It's never going to happen. Why would HE like YOU?
"Well, I uh, wasn't sure at first but, I uh.. Peg are you even listening?" Vixian questioned.
"Hm?" Peggy jerked her attention over to her sister. "Yeah."
"I..I'm pregnant." Vixian managed to sputter out.
"WHAT?!?" Peggy cried, attracting much attention. She covered her masked mouth and repeated a quieter, "What?!"
"Yeah, I hate to admit it, but your the only person I've told." Vixian looked at her stomach, guilty of the fact that she was carrying a child that would be welcomed into such a cruel world.
"Vix, you can't be doing work if your pregnant," Peggy hissed.
