Donovan glared at the sound of Phoebe's voice. That girl was really starting to get on his nerves….
He glanced up when he heard advancing footsteps on the staircase. He pulled out a dagger and closed his book
(Oh yeah, this.)
(yea…..it be ded?)
(I hope not.)
(Sorry. I don't know what else to put.)
(I'm a minor character. I don't want to yank the narrative as I normally do.)
Xena laughed and climbed out a nearby window, going up to the roof. She took out her dagger and looked at her reflection.
Theron glanced up as he saw the reflection of a weapon. Grabbing his own dagger. "That's not a mirror"
Donovan sighed as he stood up and hefted the book under his arm and walked out of the library, head down and trying to avoid attention. He started heading down the hallway to his dorm room quietly, glancing around suspiciously.
Theron glanced up as he saw the reflection of a weapon. Grabbing his own dagger. "That's not a mirror"
Aya stepped out from her customary position on the roof. "Of course it can be." She looked at the two of them.
"Do you think we all come up here for the view?" she asked, pointing to the city below them.
Theron glanced up as he saw the reflection of a weapon. Grabbing his own dagger. "That's not a mirror"
"It is in the eyes of the beholder." She said, sheathing the blade, its intricate design hidden from peering eyes
"sure," he rolled his eyes and returned to his normal position on the edge of the roof "here to recruit me?"
Aya walked up to them. "She's got a point."
"I came up here to get some peace, not hold an intervention" he growled
Aya rolled her eyes. "Who asked you?"
"me," he glanced at her in boredom "who else?"
"Fair enough." she looked a little awkward. "I'm Aya, by the way."
He nodded in greetings "Theron. I've seen you in class before."
She held out a hand. "Sorry for being so blunt. It's just… murder."
He looked at her hand for a moment before shaking it "it's an assassins academy, they should have thought about this before they named it so."
Xena watched the other two before turning to face the edge of the roof
Donovan was almost to his room when he saw something out of the corner of his eye. A red splatter on the tile floor.
"I wouldn't do that," Theron warned the girl who was standing on the edge of the roof "you'll live, not high enough of a drop to kill yourself."
Donovan turned sharply. He walked towards it. He knelt down to examine the tiny puddle. He stuck a in it and rubbed his fingers together. "That's blood alright. Has to be under an hour old…" He looked up and spotted another puddle a little ways away. Then he realized it was a trail. He quickly stood and followed, putting his hand into his bag for his contraband pistol.
