"My life's been such a train-wreck since Ace died." Kameo's eyes looked so blank, as if the life had been drained out of them.
"We're here for you, Kameo," Leah said softly, pulling him up with Joanna and leading him towards the infirmary. She didn't really know what to say since condoling people had never been something that she had been good at. Boats were easier to take care of. Once they broke, you could fix them. People weren't that easy.
(someone remind me exactly what's going on real quick)
( Pretty much, Alpha (Kameo's father) attacked them with his crew, the Crygs. Cicada was taken, Leah and Joanna are taking Kameo back towards the infirmary, and Daso can be wherever you want him to be )
(alright daso'll just tag along with leah, kameo, and joanna)
Daso opened the infirmary door for the other three, smiling gently. He wished he could comfort Kameo, but he'd been so broken down and depressed since Ace. He didn't know what to say.
Leah managed to help set Kameo down on one of the cots, waving a doctor over as she stood to watch. After a few moments, she turned and looked around the room, counting who was here. Daso. Kameo. Joanna. Where's Cicada. . . She furrowed her brow in concern, beginning to move towards the door of the infirmary.
"You okay?" Daso queried in a quiet voice, noticing Leah's concerned look as she glanced around.
"Cicada," Leah answered briskly, summing it up in one word as she began up the steps towards the deck. She started to remember what her sister had told her. Someone on her old crew had been a traitor, turning them into the Inquisitors. God, she better be up here.
Daso assumed she was still on deck. He hoped Leah's concerns were just her being over protective. He turned his attention back towards Kameo and Joanna.
Leah looked around, trying to catch of glimpse of Cicade. Her hair. Her knives. Something. After pacing the desk multiple times, she paused and told herself that her sister was most likely below deck. Instead, Leah chose to talk to Alpha, who had woken up from his frypan "incident."
(Heyo, I won't be on til 8:00 CST)
(Sounds good. See you soon)
"So, tell me," Leah began, looking down at Alpha as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Where is your crew going right now?"
"I was thinkin' we would go to Trieste, roun' up some honeys an' then set off to the palace to turn ya in fer a bounty."
"Honeys," Leah scoffed, shaking her head. Rounding up sounds more like knocking them out and taking them without their consent. "The palace for a bounty? What do the Royals want with us?" She continued, interested by the last part of Alpha's comment.
"You're a disturbance. No one likes ya. The Royals think you guys should go away 'cuz yer 'rupting their trade business and such." Alpha spit at her shoes.
"Did they give you money to do this?" Leah asked, taking a small step back from the man. From what she had heard so far, the Royals were sponsoring the Crygs.
"Obviously." he grinned, gold tooth flashing.
"Obviously." he grinned, gold tooth flashing.
"What else do you know?" Leah questioned, a grimace spreading across her face as the man grinned.
(Sorry to burst in, but @NessieTheMonster, you're needed in the dream RP!)
He itched to crack his knuckles. "I'll tell ya all abou' them. . . for a price."
". . .What do you want?" Leah asked a long pause, looking down at the man as she raised a brow. She already knew that she wouldn't like this price.
