"Okay." I'll be dead by then.

"Be back in 5," Cicada left the room. As soon as she did her senses tingled again. She sighed and decided to wait in the hallway instead of going to her room.

There was a file on the desk. Kameo picked it up. Ace's file. His breath caught and he flipped through it, tears stinging his face.

There were pictures. Of Ace's beautiful face and eyes and skin and the small scar on his chin that was so cute for no reason at all.

(So would Jenna be okay?)

Leah opened a bottle of whiskey, telling herself she shouldn't drink, but she didn't listen. As she started to take a sip from it, almost all the memories of her brothers and Caspian on the Ghost ship faded. It didn't fix anything, but it made it easier to forget.

Ryan turned to Joanna as they arrived at the kitchen. "Is it still locked? And by the way, why do you do that?"

"Well, I had found a knife with blood on it." She said, opening the door.

Ryan cringed as he walked in. "Yuck. That's…. unsanitary."

"Yah, I cleaned it though." She said. "Do you want a PBJ?"

He shrugged again. "Anything's fine. I'm not too picky." Ryan didn't want to bother her, so he didn't remind her that he didn't like jelly.

She shrugged "If you don't want PBJ, I can make ya somethin' else."

"No, that's fine. Literally anything would be better than the crap I was eating in Sole."

"Alright eat this then." she said, handing him a couple of sandwiches.

Ryan nodded, taking the sandwiches from her. "More than one?"

"If you want. You don't have to."

Ryan grinned. "Oh trust me, I'm eating every last bite. I'm starving."

Joanna nodded, smiling. "I thought so."
