Levi groaned and dragged his feet as he approached the door. While it wasn't guaranteed it was the chef, he knew it probably would be. And he was going to make this as painful as possible for everyone involved. He slammed the door open and took in the guy in front of him. Definitely the chef. "Are you Jax?"
"Yes. And by that greeting, I presume you are Levi Animus." He said, taking in the annoyed look on the man's face. Yup, this is going to be miserable. For both me and you. Very, very miserable He thought.
Sorry for the short reply//
"I wish I weren't." Levi stepped away from the door and stomped off to the kitchen where a fast cooling cup of coffee sat on the counter. Most of his house was still clean because most of it hadn't been used at all, but his kitchen wasn't one of those depressingly untouched spaces. His kitchen currently had a sink full of dirty dishes, a couple of t-shirts laying across the pan rack, and a few empty beer bottles laying around. He hadn't had enough time to clean up.
(As long as it's 2 sentences or more, you're fine)
Jax sighed and made his way into the house. "Look, we can stay far away from each other. My job is to cook you food." He says, picking up some bottles and throwing them into the recycling bin.
"I don't need a cook," Levi answered, taking a sip of his coffee. Of all the people Sequoia and FLora could hire, they decided a cook would be the best option. He knew how to cook. He'd survived on his own for the last two months, hadn't he?
"And I don't need sass, yet here we are." Jax snarks, turning on the water to wash some of the dishes. "Do you have any allergies? If you don't say so and have a reaction to any of my food, I will probably laugh."
"I'm lactose intolerant." Having this guy in his house was kind of surreal. Levi hadn't had people over since he got back home. He knew exactly how Sequoia would react if she saw all the empty soulless rooms in his house. She'd force him to fill them up with junk and watch him even more closely than usual to make sure he used them.
"Okay, no milk for you then. I can probably find some substitutes." Jax mused, he had cooked for people with lactose allergies before. "Anything else?" He asked, sliding some dishes into the dishwasher.
"No." Levi glared at the cook from the corner. He'd vaguely considered saying something outrageous like he was vegetarian who was allergic to gluten but he realized that he probably couldn't live like that. Meat was about 80% of his diet and he'd definitely die without it.
"Good, what are your favorite foods?" He asked, he may not want to be here, but that doesn't mean he would do a bad job. Don't be rude to your client and don't punch him, he's a soldier.
"Don't have any." Levi finished his cup and placed it into the sink, ignoring Jax's efforts to clean out all the dirty dishes. It was his sink after all. And what could Jax do to him? Refuse to work?
"Okay." He said, taking the cup and rinsing it. He put it in the washer and went to check the fridge. "Your fridge is empty, do you even eat?" He muttered as he pulled out a pad of paper and began to write on it.
"Sometimes." Levi knew that eating was important, and he did eat. It just took a while for him to get around to it. Besides, he ate when he was hungry. Even though that occurrence had become rare after his time in the army. As much as he hated to admit it, he probably didn't eat enough.
"Yeah, you look as if you don't eat." He commented, opening the pantry and recoiling in horror. "There. Is. So. Much. Ramen." Jax hissed.
"Yep."' Levi looked down at himself, trying to see if he looked skinny. His body looked the way it always had: thin but covered in lean muscle. He certainly didn't look starved. And why was Jax so opposed to ramen? It was convenient and easy for him to make. Why shouldn't he eat it?
"This ramen is an insult to chefs everywhere, I'm burning it." He says, grabbing a garbage bag and shoving all the ramen into it. "It will be gone, forever."
Levi frowned and snatched the trash bag from his hands. A few packs of ramen laid on the shelves, saved from their doom at Jax's hands. Something about Jax throwing out all his ramen made him kind of angry. This was his house and his food. He was the one who decided what to do with it. "It stays. Deal with it."
"Hmm, but no eating it when I'm here. If you want, I can make regular ramen, good ramen." He said, crossing his arms. Ramen was a crime to society. (I fucking love ramen!)
(Me too man. I'm pretty sure I have a bulk package in my kitchen rn)
"This is good ramen." Levi tossed the garbage bag into the trashcan and stepped away from Jax again. He had no desire to be near him for any amount of time now that his food was safe.
"No, it's artificial crap and it's unhealthy to eat that much." He argued back, snooping around more in the pantry. "At least you have flour and sugar."
This wasn't going to be fun. Levi could sense deep in his bones that Jax was going to pry about things and argue with him and shit, and Levi really wasn't prepared to deal with that. He was probably going to go and buy groceries soon. It was 10 and Levi definitely didn't have the ingredients needed to cook anything but ramen. "I don't eat it all at once."
(Has no clue how to respond to this because Lex only bakes…//
(Idk man. Google some easy recipes I guess.)
(Yeah, I have to head to a party soon. Wanna leave this off for the day?)
