Violet laughed and put her arm around Leah's shoulders.
"Oh, yes." She chuckled. "A very good thing."
Violet laughed and put her arm around Leah's shoulders.
"Oh, yes." She chuckled. "A very good thing."
Leah buried her head in the crook of Violet's shoulder as she giggled uncontrollably.
After a few minutes she lifted her head back up and smiled.
"Wanna go to my room?" She asked.
Violet giggled along with Leah as they snuggled.
"Sure." she said happily when Leah poked her head back up.
Leah stood up and led her across the house, down a small, dimly lit hallway and into her room, which was the only one on the right side.
She flopped down on her twin sized bed and looked up at the ceiling, which had a bunch of glow in the dark stars in shapes of constellations.
Following her, Violet happily walked along behind Leah.
She looked up to the stars and smiled. "remember when we put those up there?" she chuckled. "we fell off the chair so many times."
Leah nodded and laughed.
"You mean you fell off the chair so many times." She insisted. "I let you do all the work."
Violet laghted along with her.
"Ja i guess." She looked down at Leah. "You let me do all the work?" she asked sarcastically.
Leah laughed and nodded.
"You seemed very eager." She said and smiled brightly. "So I just let you kind of take over."
"I guess you're right."
She smiled. "I get excited about changing anything that's probably not illegal. At least in public."
She laid down next to Leah on the bed and looked up at the artificial stars.
Leah laced her fingers together and placed her hands on her stomach and looked up at the ceiling.
She crossed her legs at the ankles and sighed quietly.
"Have you ever thought about what will happen when we both get our shit together and just fade into society?"
Violet asked turning her head to look at Leah.
Leah shook her head.
"I mean, considering I'm only a young adult, I think I have my shit together." She responded and turned her head to look at Violet. "But no, not really."
Violet turned her head to mirror Leah.
"Realy?" she asked. "Not at all?" She looked at her, their faces not even inches apart, and she kissed her on the nose.
"Ok then."
Leah laughed.
"I mean, I don't usually permit myself of the future, it freaks me out really bad." She said.
Smiling Violet nodded.
"It's scary. you're right to be freaked out. I know i am."
Leah shrugged.
"Well, I like to avoid freaking at all costs, I already do that enough."
Violet chuckled.
"Oh really?" she asked sarcastically.
Leah punched her playfully on the shoulder.
"Shut up," she teased. "I'm just saying, I don't think about the future much, I just kind of,,,let things ride out and deal with them in the present, as I go."
"I know!" Violet said laughing.
She returned the punch by tickling Leah on her waist. Giggling as she did so.
Leah screeched and rolled away from her, getting close to the edge and tottering before she fell to the floor, where she grabbed Violet by the wrist and pulled her halfway off the bed.
"Ahh" She hung limply off the side of the bed, Leah underneath her.
"Why did you-" She giggled again and continued to tickle
Leah screeched once again and then attempted to climb out from under Violet.
She heard the front door close firmly and stood up quickly, flattening her hair—which was pointless because it was always messy and very tightly curled— and her clothes and sat down on the edge of her bed. She heard rummaging coming from the living room and sighed in relief.
Her mother knew she liked girls in a way, but she didn't want to give her a reason to tease her, which she most definitely would have done if she'd walked in and spotted them both in the positions they had been in seconds before, with her daughter pinned under Violet.
Violet rolled off Leah when she sat up. "Wha-" She started to say still laying on the ground, but then heard the rummaging. "Your Mom's home." she said happily, still giggling a bit. Leah's hair was everywhere, and Violet was sure her's wasn't much better.
Leah coughed into a fist and then smiled.
"Yeah," she said "Do I look like I did something suspicious?"
She flattened her hair and shirt again.
Violet laughed.
"No, your fine." she said and reached up to fluff Leah's hair. "Stop flattening it. It's only flat when you're nervous.
Are you nervous?"
