(Got it!)
Pietro’s face blanched. “Piper!”
Lolita didn't hesitate. She pushed Piper into a safe area and fell through the floor, turning visible as she did so. Fear shot through her eyes, but she didn't want Piper to save her.
“Lolita!” Pietro sped over and pulled her out, landing safely on the other side.
(No… Okay.)
“What the- there’s another of you, well then. I’ll be back, Piper.” He said before disappearing int the shadows.
(No… Okay.)
//oh ok I can change it
Lolita gasped and clung to Pietro. Her eyes were wide, her lips were parted, and she was breathing heavily. Her heart hammered in her chest. Stress and fear coated her eyes.
(No… Okay.)
//oh ok I can change it
(No, you're good.)
Piper watched the man leave. She took a deep breath as she rubbed her ankle. "Guys, we need to regroup somewhere else….."
“Who. Was. That?” Pietro was furious, though he clutched Lolita tightly.
(A bad guy.)
Piper struggled to stand up, leaning against the wall. "I don't know. But he knew me. We need to get out of here before one of us gets any more injured. My house?"
Lolita shook like a leaf.
“He knows you. No way. My place,” Pietro insisted.
Lolita sunk to the ground, glitching between visible and invisible.
Pietro tried to hold her up as best he could. “Cmon, cmon, you’re okay.”
Her legs were nearly invisible, hiding how badly they got burned.
“Stay. Awake.” Lolita was fading away. “Lolita!” Pietro couldn’t keep the panic from his voice.
"Pietro… it… hurts…" Lolita pointed to her legs. They were still foggy.
“Stay solid. I can only help what I can see,” Pietro murmured, a tear sliding down his cheek at her distress. “Cmon.”
Lolita gritted her teeth and tightened. Slowly, the intense burns showed.
Piper limped over to her friends. When she saw the burns, she quickly called some doctors, who rushed to the trio's aid.
Lolita's eyes teared up. "I'm sorry, Piper."
(Lol it's?)
"Shh sh Lolita. It's not your fault. None of this is your fault." Piper whispered comfortingly as doctors lifted Lolita up on a (stretcher thingy?) and wheeled her off to an emergency room.
