“I can breathe and blink,” Amai giggled.
“I can breathe and blink,” Amai giggled.
Danielle looked around, seeing a few of the students leaving the room. She leaned over to Riverpaw, who had taken her book back out. "Hey, wanna get outta here and go explore the place?"
"U-um..not really? It's our second year, we know our way around."
"I mean, like, looking for other students. And our classes, I guess."
"…If you try to hook me up with someone again-"
"No, no! I just…want to see who we'll be working with this year."
"…Is there any way I can get out of this?"
"Nope."
"sigh Let's go."
(Should we skip to lunch?)
(Sure)
Harley walked into the lunch room looking for a familiar face. Finding none, she sighed and sat down at a window seat
Durbin took to the hallways to find them full of not just students, but animals. Apparently all of the shapeshifters had gotten comfortable.
He decided to join them, walking into the bathroom, and changing, he walked out with his backpack in his teeth, in his panther form.
(We skipped to lunch apparently.)
Aram looked for a place to sit, but he was a little nervous to go meet big groups of new people, so he sat down to a girl sitting by the window (Harley). When he placed a hand on the table, it rattled a little bit from the force.
Harley felt the table move and she looked around, startled. “Oh hello, I’m Harley!” She said
Danielle hopped around Riverpaw as the tiny wolf shook her head. "I can't believe I let you talk me into shifting on the first day."
"What if Rezza had been here? You'd have shifted to run from him. Tell me I'm wrong."
Riverpaw sighed and kept walking, spotting a rather large panther heading in their direction. "Go back, go back, hide, now." She started to panic a little, and Danielle put a paw on her head. "Chill. If he was gonna hurt us, he'd have hurt the other dozens of shifters in the hall first."
"Name's Aram," he replied. He smiled, but it was just a little terrifying with his underbite and sharp teeth.
Nyna finally arrived at the cafeteria and she decided to sit by herself. Nyna took out her favorite book and started reading it, trying to ignore the noise in the cafeteria.
"Hey there you two." Durbin said, his tail swaying loosely. "I guessed you were shifters from the moment I saw you." He exclaimed, giving an innocent smile that looked more than a little malevolent across his panther's face. He shook his black coat off, kneading the ground with his feet like a giant housecat.
Amai saw a girl who was reading a book and decided to introduce himself. He walked over to her and asked with a big smile on his face, “Do you mind if I sit here?”
"Hiii! Name's Danielle. This scittery little pup is my bestie, Riverpaw." Danielle happily introduced herself, having to grab Riverpaw by the ear when she started backing away.
"Name's Aram," he replied. He smiled, but it was just a little terrifying with his underbite and sharp teeth.
“What are you?” She asked intrigued by his sharp teeth
"I'm an orc," Aram answered, "You?"
"You don't need to worry about me." Durbin said, doing that thing cats do where they rub their faces on the floor and then plop over belly up.
Nyna looked up at the boy with the smile on his face and shook her head, "No it's fine." She looked away and continued reading her book.
“Ok, thanks!” Amai took his seat across from the girl, “My name’s Amai, what’s yours?” *Amai asked, trying to initiate a conversation.
"I'm an orc," Aram answered, "You?"
“A mutant” she replied
"That's a horrible thing to call yours- Wait. Is that just the name of your species?" Aram asked, intrigued.
Danielle's large, poofy tail wagged rapidly as she tilted her head at him and copied his actions. "Aww! You're cute! See, River, not all big cats are bad."
"B-but most of them are." Riverpaw whispered, keeping her eyes on Durbin.
"You'll have to excuse her. There was this tiger shifter and his friends who were constantly tormenting us last year. Which sucked 'cause it was our first year."
Nyna heard Amai and her elf ears twitch, "Splendid name that you have, my name's Nyna." She didn't make eye contact at all, she was too focused in the book.
Nienna didn't know where to sit so she sat at an empty table instead of sitting with other elves for personal reasons like bullying. She had to cover her eyes for a minute to clear some color away.
