"Yeah, it's cool down here." Durbin said, scooting his black-furred body over to make room for the wolf.

Nyna giggled, she hasn't been this happy for awhile so she was already enjoying school.

Uriah left the library and headed the lunch room. When he entered there were a lot more people then he was expecting. He grabbed his food and walked around for a bit to find a table. "Hey, mind if I sit here?"

Riverpaw sighed as she jumped down. "I-I can't believe I'm about to do this. How do I let you t-talk me into these things?"
"I'm very convincing, and you love me."
Riverpaw stuck her tongue out at the bunny as she crawled on top of Durbin and reluctantly made herself comfortable. "…O-okay, this is kinda nice."

“Not at all!” Amai smiled at the newcomer, “I’m Amai, by the way.”

Nyna heard a male's voice and she looked up and saw Uriah, "Nope."

"Oh, Uriah's here." Durbin said, looking up through the seats.

Harley got up from her place and went over to the boy she was talking to earlier “hey.”

"Hello." She greeted everyone before sitting down. "How's the food?" He still wasn't quite used to the food from the upperworld.

“Eh, to be honest, it’s pretty bad. I hate cafeteria food,” Amai sighed. He pulled out another Snickers bar, “But I do have this!”

Nyna took a bite out of the snicker bar, "The food here is amazing!" She said happily.

"It's alright." Durbin chimed in.

He listened to each of their opinions. "Okay, so, which is it? I'm not used to human food." He pushed the tray away. "I should've just brought underworld food with me." He sighed and laid his head in his hands. I guess I won't be eating again.

“Well, depends on where you’re from, I guess. I’m from here, so I’m used to this food and don’t like it as much. Except for popcorn and this,” Amai handed him the Snickers bar.

"I think the food here is way better than the food back at my old home. All we ate was the same thing every single day, like corn, mashed potatoes, or mutten. It was pretty lame."

"You guys don't want to know what we eat down below." He laughed and took the candy bar. Uriah tore the wrapper off and stared at it for a moment. Taking his first he thought is was good, but it kept getting stuck to his fang. "This is good, bit hard to eat."

Nyna grabbed a dorito and stared at it, "Why is this shaped like a triangle? It's odd…"

Danielle moved and poked her head up from under the table. "I don't know why, but I've always wanted to try mutton. What even is that stuff?"

"That is weird." Uriah agreed with her. "There are so many weird foods up here." Uriah continued to try and get the caramel off his teeth.

"Mutton is sheep." Durbin said.

Nyna nodded at Durbin, "Yup, we ate sheep…" Thinking about it makes her feel sick to her stomach.

Danielle looked at the floor, then slowly moved back onto Durbin. "Oh… I think I've change my mind."

Durbin chuckles, looking up at the rest of the group. He yawns, flicking his ears and tail.
