"Yeah. Wonderful. Now imagine if something nasty like a Chimera or something comes along, huh? Imagine what would happen if one of those bit you!"

Addi huffed. "Sorry Jay. I didn't know that I could make creatures powerful!!"

“Was that a trick question, or..?”

"Gods, this means I'm gonna have to let Cyprus have his way with me to do this stupid spell."

"No!! No, don't do that. I can–figure something out."

Jasmine puts her hand and forehead on the tree again. Get the Princess out of the forest…..She's in grave danger….. "Guys. Addison's in danger. We have to get her out of the forest quickly." A vine falls down and Jasmine climbs it easily, then climbs back down. "That's gonna be a bigger problem than I thought. It's HUGE."

"We could just fly?" Addison said, lifting her wings.

"Yeah, but we'd be flying for hours. There's only forest for miles and miles, and my ears can't pick up anything other than noises of the forest."

"Or we can cast the spell, find the satellite as quickly as inhumanly possible, and then run in the opposite direction and never come back."

"But what if the satellite is past this forest?"

“That’s the smartest thing you’ve said all day, Jay.”

"Well I think I could sonar the forest. I should be able to pick the satellite up since I've gotten a tech boost."

"I don't want you to let Cryprus hurt you again Jay. I'm not worth it. Just let me go off by myself and none of you will get hurt."

While her companions had been fighting super-powered ferrets and discussing their next course of action, Phoenix had gone into a meditative trance. Her eyes began glowing brighter.
'Addi…' she transmitted, humming aloud slightly. 'we need to get to safety, night is approaching. I can cast a spell myself when we get to the ship.'

"Look, the spell should take like 5 minutes. He possessed me for an entire year once, remember? I just gotta grab some ingredients, let him take over to do the spell, and then we'll be able to complete the mission."

"But I don't want you to. Just let me die. I don't care anymore."

'Addi, please' Phoenix begged in her mind 'we must hurry. I can protect us all along the way bakc, but we cannot wait.'

Jay's face flashed from angry to sad. "Look, I won't let you talk like that. You aren't dying. Not on my watch."

“We covered that already…” Lucille sighed.

Addi sighed. Phoenix what do you mean? She asked, giving into Jay.

Jay's face went oddly solemn. "You know what. It's not your decision." His eyes blacked out again, and Cyprus took over.

"NO!!" Addison shouted as Cyprus took over Jay.

Shaking out of her trance, she turned just in time to knock Jay in the head, rendering him unconscious.
"Yeah, no," she said, turning back to Addi "I don't like ghosts."

Jasmine makes thick vines wrap around Cyprus. "Hopefully that will keep him for a while."

Cyprus somehow managed to roll his nonexistent eyes. "Listen sweetheart, if it makes you feel any better he let me this time. Now stay put and don't die while I go get the spell items."
