Jay dove underwater, going all the way to the bottom and staying there for a while.
Finn watched him before swimming down to meet him.
Jay looked at Finn, and smiled a little, careful not to lose any air.
Finn day next to him attempting to hold his hand.
Jay smiled as Finn took his hand, though his lungs were beginning to burn with the need for air.
Finn swam up still holding Jay’s hand. He couldn’t hold his breath for very long.
Jay surfaced as well, taking a breath.
Finn swam on his back again.
Jay sighed softly, eyes catching on the bruise again.
Finn noticed and kissed him trying to distract him.
"What happened?" Jay asked when the kiss was over.
“I told you practice sometimes it gets rough. It doesn’t hurt as long as I don’t touch it and it’ll be gone in a few days,” he lied. It hurt even when he didn’t touch it.
Jay frowned. "I don't believe you." He replied bluntly. "I was at practice, remember?"
"You where sketching you didn't see the whole thing," He tried to argue. "Come on let's just swim. Have some fun." He took his hand pulling him along.
Jay didn't move, looking at Finn. "I was doing homework, not sketching. And I saw enough."
"Oh well," He whispered kissing Jay to try to distract him.
Jay put a hand on Finn's chest to keep him back. "Please tell me the truth." He said softly.
Finn nodded. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "It was my aunt…I'll tell you everything later ok?" He glanced at poppy who started swimming over.
Jay clenched his jaw at that, but nodded. "I'm sorry. Alright." He kissed Finn gently, wrapping his arms around the taller boy.
"Thank you sorry I should have told you," He whispered before looking down and kissing him.
"It's alright." He replied softly, kissing Finn back.
Finn let go of him and started swimming on his back.
Jay leaned down to press a kiss to Finn's cheek. "I love you."
"I love you too," he said lifting his head slightly to connect their lips.
Jay closed his eyes for a moment.
