"Then let's find a warlock and get this danged mess straightened out, hey? If she's your kid, she's your responsibility."
"Then let's find a warlock and get this danged mess straightened out, hey? If she's your kid, she's your responsibility."
"Wonderful. Where are we gonna find a warlock around here?"
"If Milo was still alive, I'd go to him," Asura muttered.
That piqued Zoe's interest. "Milo?" Zoe said, stepping forward. "I heard about him. The woman who raised me said that he died around the time that I was born."
Pluto was still squinting at Zoe. "Guys, I think this Milo guy might be related to Zoe."
"Oh, for–okay." Mike closed his eyes and massaged his forehead tiredly. "Whatever. That makes perfect sense."
"What the hell? No it doesn't, Milo is a dude."
"No, I'm serious! There's something in her soul that's like writing but not, and it's saying something about being part of Asura and Milo!"
"Is there no other warlock nearby that anyone knows of? This is getting ridiculous."
(If there isn't, I'd be happy to volunteer one of my magical characters to do a reading, btw)
"Nobody that I know."
(go for it, my dude)
(sweet, thanks)
All at once there came a voice from outside the warehouse. "Hello? Excuse me, is anyone there? Yoo-hoo!"
(I gotta go for a few hours agh somebody take over Asura for me)
Pluto whipped around to the direction of the noise. "Oh great, just what we need."
(Okay)
A tall man in formal black robes poked his head through the door. "Oh, I do hope so! I heard through the grapevine that someone was in need of a warlock?"
Pluto squinted at the man. "God I hate warlocks," she muttered
He smiled cheerfully. "A pleasure to meet you as well! My name is Zen V'e'en, warlock of L'obscureau District. How can I help you?"
"Could you uh, work your mojo on her," she said, gesturing to Zoe, "to tell everyone that I'm right and she's actually probably related to Asura?"
"Oh, an heredity analysis!" Zen nodded seriously. "I see. One moment." He stepped up to Asura, peered at him for a moment, then turned and did the same to Zoe. "Well, well, this is very….ahem….complicated, I must say. Would you like all the gory details, or shall I simplify?"
"Simplification please."
"Very well." Zen steepled his fingers and straightened up dramatically. "The parents of Zoe are: One Asura, one Milo, and one sixteenth unidentified. That is all."
"Aha, I was right!" Pluto said, doing a little dance. "Oh. Wait. That probably isn't a good thing."
"No, indeed! I can only imagine the metaphysical and psychological ramifications of such an unnatural mixture. Poor girl has no idea who she is." Zen paused, considering the tactless nature of his words, and coughed. "Well, if that's all, I must be going. Glad to be of service! Have a lovely evening!" He bowed and vanished in a thoroughly unnecessary puff of smoke.
"Welp," Mike said flatly. "I guess that's that then."
(I gotta go have lunch, and we should probably wait for Jensen to get back anyway. seeya)
(oh wow and I just returned whoops)
(ok, and for the record Zen was hilarious for all of his short appearance)
(lol thanks! XD I'll be back soon!)
(I know lol, I read it)
