"Iā¦ I don't know?" Red stepped back, confused and irritated at herself.
"Iā¦ I don't know?" Red stepped back, confused and irritated at herself.
"Oh, I think I get it," Mike said, snapping his fingers. "Hey, Red, you can come in now."
Pluto laughed. "You're pulling the wrong way." She reached around and opened the door for Red.
"Oh, is it that thing that Vampires can't enter places unless they're invited or are you doing something completely different?"
"Worth a try. I think I read that somewhere."
(Gotta go, be back later)
Pluto shrugged. "It's a truck. Didn't figure that really applied to the whole vamp entering rule."
"I honestly am not sure. I might've been programmed that way through." Red shrugged.
"Weird," Asura said, hopping into the back with Mike.
Mike shifted over to make room for him. "By the way, do any of you know Zoe personally, or are we all here just because she's a criminal? If somebody has some specific beef with her, it could make things more complicated."
(sorry for disappearing again) Pluto slid into the driver's seat and pulled the keys out of her leather jacket. "The only personal issues I have with her is that she killed two of Michael's friends. Other than that she's just another job."
"I've just escaped from an underground experimental institution, I don't know anyone by the designation of Zoe." Red lifted herself into the seat and closed the door a little too hard and winced slightly at her own strength.
Pluto looked at her in the rear view mirror. "Hey! Be nice to Rex, he never did anything to you!"
Red visibly flinch away from Pluto at her voice and raised her arms slightly in a protective stance.
She sighed. "Look, I'm sorry for yelling. Just be careful with my truck okay? He's kinda special to me if that makes any sense."
"Ah, o-okay." Red nodded and let her arms lower, but kept her body tense and leaned close to the side of the door.
Pluto felt bad now. She really shouldn't have snapped at Red. "Hey, I promise I won't yell at you any more alright? I know you're not really up to speed with human culture and stuff, so it's really not your fault."
(pops in, makes character talk, leaves again)
"Don't worry about us shouting, Red," Mike added from the back. "We might be a loud bunch, but we're different than the people you've known before. We're not gonna hurt you or anything."
"Of course. I'm sorry, I shouldn't generalize." Red shook her head in embarrassment.
"Everybody ready to go?"
"Yup. Think so."
(should we wait to go for Zoe since she's technically Jensen's character?)
(might be a good idea. We could at least drive to the place, then wait for Jen so they can narrate what's going on)
(sounds good) Pluto turned the key in the ignition, and the truck hummed to life. It was oddly quiet despite being an old truck. She hit a button on the keychain to open the garage door, and they pulled out into the cold, moonlit night
(Sorry I disappeared, I realized I'd forgotten to do some homework)
Mike watched the street go by outside carefully, taking in every detail the darkness allowed. "This place doesn't look much different from pre-war America, so far. Although I take it that this world discovered magic a lot earlier than ours."
