Adam forced himself to get to his feet, taking a deep breath, giving Alex a smile, “Hey, thanks for letting me stay here,” He hooked his arm over Alex’s shoulder, hoping it came off as purely friendly. His heart thought differently, yearning to be close to someone with fear of societal reprecussions.
“Don’t mention it!” He chirps as he leads Adam to his couch, “It’s no problem or anything at all!”
Adam didn’t immediately sit down, keeping his arm wrapped around Alex for a few more moments than necessary before easing onto the couch. He massaged his temple, leaning his head against the cushion of the couch.
Monty waddled over to Carlos. “So, my car broke down….”

“I’d give you some Advil but…I don’t think that’s a good idea..”
“Mmmhmmm,” Adam agreed, curling his arms around himself. He had to keep reminding himself that he had been ‘joking’ earlier. He’s just so cute though…
Alex carefully drapes a blanket over him, “You need some food in you!” He says, walking to the kitchen, “or else you’ll keep throwing up”
“There’s no way I’m eating anything,” Adam muttered, curling the blanket around himself. It smelled faintly like Alex so he wrapped himself in it further. Stop, this is a bad idea, I’d be better off sick at the party, at least it was easier to ‘joke’ more there… Adam glanced at Alex, hoping he wouldn’t think too far into Adam’s ‘jokes’.
"Not even some homemade soup?" he asks, pouting at him slightly
“Homemade?” Adam couldn’t resist, Alex was just too cute.
He nods eagerly “Mi abuelas secret recipe!” He pouts more, “but if you don’t want any…” he starts but trails off
“Only if I can eat it on the couch,” Adam made a puppy eye face, very much aware of how childish he was being but coudn’t stop himself. He left out the part that he wanted to snuggle too, that was just a mistake that would lead to worse.
Alex looks at him before poking one of his cheeks, “alright! Just don’t give me those sad lil’ puppy dog eyes” he walks into the kitchen, “one bowl of soup is coming right up!”
Adam smiled a little to himself, sighing all the while. This is all a mistake… I shouldn’t be here, people will figure it out… Adam couldn’t joke his way out of this one, and it didn’t help that Alex didn’t seem fazed at all with his ‘jokes’. It would be easier if the other would just outright reject him.
Alex hums to himself while making soup, Was it the best idea to invite him into my house? he thinks, I mean he doesn’t seem like he’d kill me…but still, I normally wouldn’t invite people into my house…especially strangers. He starts to wonder why he invited this person into his house, but…it doesn’t hurt that he’s nice on the eyes he thinks and chuckles slightly
Adam massaged his temple again, closing his eyes as he waited for Alex. He’s so darn cute… but… no, I can’t… He forced that crush down into the back of his mind, trying to ignore it.
After a short while Alex walks out of the kitchen with two bowls, he sets them on the coffee table and sits next to Adam on the couch, he offers him one of the bowls, “here ya go Sunshine!” He laughs and smiles, “made with my…grandmothers love” he seems to add the ‘grandmothers’ part of the sentence hastily, as if he hadn’t planned on it at first
Adam didn’t give it a second thought, leaning closer to Alex to sap off his warmth as he accepted the soup carefully. It warmed his hands which he hadn’t noticed were cold, making him smile a little bit. He tasted the soup cautiously, and gosh it was heavenly, “Mmmmmmm…”
Alex smiles wider, “I take it that you like the soup?”
“Mmhmm,” Adam hummed in affirmation and ate a bit more of it. “It tastes very good…”
Monty waddled over to Carlos. “So, my car broke down….”
(So sorry, I haven’t been that active lately) Carlos laughed. “Well, I guess you’ll have to stay here then.” He grabbed a couple plates and some slices of pizza. “May lay off the beers though…”

“Well at least I didn’t go with someone I just met like poor Adam did.” Monty sighed. “And I just payed the car off…”
“That’s a bummer…” Carlos shifted awkwardly in his seat. “Let’s talk about something positive, like what’s your favorite animal?”
“Oh, wolves! I’m trying to adopt one actually…” Monty smiled widely, “they are such majestic creatures…”
