(k) amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) followed this "Sydney" girl. "I'm bored. Why do we need to do this again? Your mission, I mean." she said.
Sydney sighed as Peyton whirled to look at the other girl. "You will find out." He said softly.
"I don't do quests, so either tell me what the flopping pancakes is going on or I shoot everyone in the room and make my daring escape."
“Oh yeah, I bet,” Cora muttered in a sharp tone at the shooting comment. She wasn’t fond of most of the people in their group. Well, besides Ellison, she was nice to chat with. But everyone else seemed secretive or hostile.
Lucian was getting along much better. He had done his best to converse with the other people, though he was busy most of the time keeping Cora in check. He cleared his throat when another woman made a remark about shooting. “That would not be advised,” he said in a calm tone.
"Hey, I have several guns. Try me."
“I am so scared,” Cora hissed, eyes narrowing. She received a jab in the side from Lucian, who shook his head.
“Not the time or the place,” he murmured to Cora softly.
Peyton gently pulled Cora and Lucian aside. "Hey I'm really sorry for the way I acted………I'm just under a lot of stress right now especially because I have to look after my two idiots for best friends. Can you forgive me?"
Sydney rolled her eyes at Amelia. "You really need to stop. Peyton, Damian, and I together could kill you within seconds and don't try denying it because we've had to kill before."
Lucian gave a polite smile and nodded. “Of course, we completely understand, right, Cora?” He said, giving her a quick look.
Cora’s eyes glanced over Peyton in a skeptical manner to try and tell if he was being genuine with the apology. She did nod her head, though. “Mhm,” she hummed in response, lips pursed in thought.
"Hey, I'm a trained assassin. Go ahead, I have a bulletproof vest."
Damian huffed. "If y'all would kindly follow me, I'll show you around. But first we should go to the infirmary."
Ellison shrugged her shoulders, before following Damian. She was on edge, but she tried her best to hide her nerves.
"Whatever."
"You guys should just listen to her. We aren't getting out of this." Ellison stated, before turning around. She didn't want to know the responses.
"Sweetie, I'm better at getting out of things than you would know."
Ellison continued to follow Damien. She was sure there would have been someone protesting, but she wasn't paying attention. That was one of the good things about being deaf. She could ignore people easily.
