"I don't mind at all. I mean, they already have everything in those files." She laughed, but it was forced. "I've been fully deaf since I was around 10, but my hearing has been fading since I was born."
"I don't mind at all. I mean, they already have everything in those files." She laughed, but it was forced. "I've been fully deaf since I was around 10, but my hearing has been fading since I was born."
“Oh, really?” Cora asked, seemingly interested. She hadn’t noticed that Ellison was deaf just by observing her. She should work on reading people more.. “At Least you’ve had time to get used to it kind of. Sort of an adapt and overcome situation, possibly.”
"Essentially. It's not something I pay attention to anymore. It does make some things harder, though. Like Crossing the street, or when people are telling jokes."
“Ah, yeah, I get that,” Cora responded, glancing over at where Lucian was chatting with others. He had always been the more social one of the two.
Ellison watched the others. From the way they were acting, something wasn't right. "So, what's going on?"
(Hey srry I disapoofed for a bit, I'm back for a while)
Peyton paused. "That…………would be greatly appreciated, Lucian.
"Anyone?" She paused and saw no one had heard. "Can someone please tell me what's going on?" She raised her voice slightly.
(It’s all good)
Cora looked back at Ellison and shrugged. “Some girl got shot maybe. Lucian’s must being a suck up, he’s a doctor, or something,” she said in a nonchalant manner.
Lucian gave another polite smile and nodded. “Shouldn’t be too difficult to take care of. Don’t want to let the wound bleed out for long, that would be bad.”
"Okay. That would do it." Ellison looked Lucian over once again. He seemed arrogant, but then again, she had only known him for a couple of minutes. "So, what are we still doing here?"
Peyton nodded. Damian picked up her bag. "We should go."
“Not exactly sure about that either,” Cora explained, her foot tapping on the floor. “We might be waiting for someone?” She suggested.
"We aren't, trust me. It's not safe to stay here to long either. When we get back to the base, we'll work on recruiting more people." Peyton said as he stood up.
"I have no idea. Anyways, where are we headed?"
“Some base, apparently,” Cora said, walking over to Lucian. “Are you on something?” She asked him.
“Am I- No, I’m not,” Lucian responded quickly.
“Well, someone is being a bit too friendly,” Cora commented.
“Someone was shot, it’s my job,” Lucian responded with a frown.
Damian and Peyton started for the door, knowing that the others would most likely follow. On her end, Sydney had started to leave to the nearest access point to the base.
(Gtg, be back when I can)
(Okay) Amelia snapped back, "Well, that's lovely. I don't do work unless I meet the boss. If you want me to come, I will since you're so persistant. No other reason."
Sydney nodded as she headed for a subway tunnel. "Follow me then."
Amelia followed, wondering how to kill the girl.
(Hurlo???)
Ten minutes later, all six young adults were standing in a large glass domed building–plane that branches off into several different hallways at the round walls.
(Wait even amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) cuz I is confuzzled.)
(Anyone on?)
(Hello?)
(Hi srry)
(Yes Amelia too)
