Nate laid Jessica down on the bed and covered her with blankets before going to the spare bedroom to set up Lucy's things so she had somewhere other than her car seat to sleep in for the night.

Jessica rolled over in her sleep grunting slightly.

After Nate finished putting Lucy's bed back together, he rocked Lucy to sleep and put her in her crib. He walked to the couch in the living room to sleep on.

Jessica tiredly woke up and looked around then walked downstairs to get a glass of water.

Nate had almost fallen asleep when Jessica came down the stairs. "Hey, why are you still up love? You should get back to bed." He murmured as he walked up beside her.

"I was thirsty" Jessica said tiredly

"Okay, but just get to bed soon. It's been a long day for everyone and we need to be ready for tomorrow." Nate kissed her cheek and returned to his spot on the couch.

Jessica rolled her eyes playfully " You can sleep in the bedroom you know" she said.

"I thought you might want the bed to yourself for tonight." Nate smiled shyly and looked down.

Jessica smiled and walked over to Natan and kissed his cheek.

Nate grinned at Jessica, "I'm going to go check on Lucy."

Jessica nodded as she made her way to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

Nate made his way into Lucy's new room.

Once Jessica had her water she gulped it and put the glass in the sink.

Lucy had woken up when she heard her dad enter the room. She babbled and lifted her legs in the air, moving them, while making motions with her hands for her dad to pick her up.

Jessica sat down on the couch and thought about Lucy

Nate picked Lucy up after noticing she had woken up. He sat in the rocking chair and tried to rock her back to sleep.

Jessica slowly sttod up and went to the bedroom.

Nate continued to rock Lucy in the rocking chair until she fell asleep and he put her back in her crib.

The next day Jessica woke up she was the first one up and was at the kitchen table reading a book.

Nate woke up when Jessica left and followed her out into the kitchen.

Jessica looked at Nathan and smiled then looked back at her book.

Nate smiled back and began making breakfast for them.

Jessica put her book down and went to the living room and turned the tv on leaving the volume on mute.
