(Do you guys want to start now?)
(Sure. She’s the child of Steve Rogers so yeah.)
(Yeah, we can start.)
(Cool.)
"I'm going out Mom!" Jessie grabbed her coat and walked out the front door. She looked around, making sure no one was looking, then once she was sure no one was, she zoomed down the, watching everything going by very slowly.
Lucian was crouched on a rooftop in his all black outfit, listening to the city below. His ears picked up sounds that normal people wouldn’t have been able to hear, and he could hear them clearly. He listened for anything crime related going on as he watched the busy street below.
(Anyone here?)
Ebony Todd wandered through the streets aimlessly, disguised as a spikey-haired 18 year old she saw on the sidewalk once. (Maybe it could be Max? Thinking of ways for them to meet.) She was bored. But just as she was heading toward the street corner, a breeze riffled the spikes in her hair, and she saw something move out of the corner of her eye. That stopped her. When she finally mustered the courage to turn and look, there was nothing there, save a girl about her age that was looking at her strangely. (Jessie? Maybe all the superheroes can sense each other or something.) Ebony narrowed her eyes. Something- she didn't know what yet- but something had just happened. Something… something was different.
Max wandered the streets with his hands in his pockets when a breeze passed by him. He looked around him, a little confused, and saw… himself? He walked over to the person, now extremely confused.
(Sure) Jessie saw two people and stopped suddenly. It was never a good idea to run near people. It would freak them out if there was another speedster.
Turning, Ebony realized that the strange girl in the street was being joined by a boy, also looking at her funny. It took her a moment to realize that she had shapeshifted into… him. "Darn!" she cursed, this had never happened before. (Just for future reference, is there cursing allowed?)
Lucian could hear a woman sobbing a few blocks away and he slipped his cap over his eyes. He ran blind from the rooftop, leaping to another nearby, then to another. Eventually he stood on top of a shorter roof, looking down into an alley where two men had a woman cornered. He jumped down, landing in a silent crouch before standing and grabbing one of the men by the shoulders, half throwing him into the other wall. With his back turned, the other man slashed at Lucia’s back, but he could hear the knife wiping through the air and he jerked out of the way. He swung a roundhouse kick into the man’s gut before slamming his fist into his jaw, sending him to the ground. Both men were seemingly knocked out, and the woman thanked him before running off. He tied both men with zip ties, shoving them out onto the side walk for someone to find.
Max walked towards himself, or the other him- whatever he would call them.
She lifted her hood and faced away from the boy, then shifted into the figure of one of her classmates. And then she ran.
Max watched as the other him turned away before running off and ran after them. He was a fast runner and was soon close behind them.
"Gosh, this boy is fast!" Ebony thought angrily. "I'll never outrun him at this pace." So she stopped, turning to face the boy. And she waited.
Max kept running and almost slammed into… a different person. “What? You… huh?” he exclaimed, a little unintelligently.
"Hi…" she said, a little awkwardly.
“Weren’t you… didn’t you…” he stammered. “You did not look like that before,”
"Uh… yeah I did…?" Ebony accidentally added a question mark at the end and winced, wishing she sounded more convincing.
Max smirked at their attempt at lying. “No you didn’t,” he said, folding his arms.
Wow, he wasn't as stupid as he looked. (No offense to your character or anything, she just underestimated him.) "Fine, I didn't. It's like not you believe I can, I don't know, shapeshift or something."
(Haha it’s okay)
“You can shapeshift?” Max questioned, raising an eyebrow. “Prove it,”
"What if I can't? What if I say no?" She wasn't going to let this boy find her secret this easily. He might have his suspicions, but until there was proof, a suspicion was just a suspicion.
“You literally changed in front of my eyes,” Max said, rolling his eyes. “I only asked because I wasn’t sure. The way you answered tells me that you can.”
