He limped into the elevator, his walk hitched because of how heavy he leaned against the crutch.
Once in the elevator, Peggy relaxed, leaning against the elevator wall. She poked the button for the ground floor and avoided looking into the lab as the doors closed. "Sorry about…all of that."
"Are you alright?" he asked. There was no pity in his voice. It seemed more of a curtsy than anything else.
"Fine. Just a little startled." She shrugged, looking up at him. "Are you alright?"
"Hurting," he admitted. "The symbiote doesn't quite understand pain, or how much it fucked me up when it did the shit it did."
She winced. "I should get you some ice or something."
He shook his head. "I'll be fine. It's just a few bruises."
"Well, just…let me know if you do need anything." She shrugged, fiddling with her dog tags.
Klaus smiled. "Thanks. I appreciate it."
Peggy gave him a two fingered salute, just as the elevator dinged ad opened to the lobby.
He gestured with the crutch. "After you, Ms. Stark."
"Peggy works just fine, y'know." She said with a laugh, stepping out into the lobby and holding a hand in front of the doors to keep them open.
"Ms. Stark has more flair," he explained, limping out of the elevator with a grin.
(Time to bond with pizza once again)
((Like I said, it's a great bonding food lmao))
"You've got a point there, pretty boy." She tossed her hair over her shoulder jokingly, letting the doors close.
He poked her side with the crutch. "I'd rather you call me Amity than that shit."
"Or, I could work a bit harder to come up with a decent nickname." She countered, swatting at the crutch.
"Then do it," he said, sticking his tongue out at her.
"Using my brain is so much effort though." She complained, flipping him off as she started towards the door.
He followed after her. "Need a straw so you can suck it up?"
"First off, rude." She huffed, smiling. "Second, you sound like a walking comeback book."
"This argument is pointless. I'm hungry." His stomach growled in response.
"Just gotta cross the street without dying." She said, rolling her eyes as she followed him through the doors.
(Wow. Just wow…)
"No promises. We are in New York." He checked left and right, and began walking.
