@Lenered
Mari nodded, scooting towards Ellis and leaning on him, her breathing a bit labored.
Mari nodded, scooting towards Ellis and leaning on him, her breathing a bit labored.
Ellis put his arm around her. "Take your time….breath…"
The demon had regained it's wits and whirled around. It dove down the hall.
Ellen followed Seth. She stopped, turning as black mist poured down the hall from behind them. "What the hell is that!?" She asked, dashing forward.
"We need more salt. That damn thing's probably gonna possess someone else." Mariko looked up at him, her brown eyes dull and heavy-lidded. "I might. . . sleep. . . I am so tired." She yawned, pretending she wasn't that close to Ellis.
Ellis brushed her damp hair out of her face. "Conner. Can you take her to my room? It's the safest place."
His room? Didn't Ellen want to search there? Maybe he just has a bunch of cool guns. I like cool guns. Rooms mean beds. Sleep. I can do that. Mariko patted Ellis' shoulder and sat up. "Your room?"
"sure." Conner picked up Mari with ease and walked to her to Ellis's room "should i watch over her as well sir?"
"Yeah that'd probably be best." He nodded.
She succumbed to Conner's arms and closed her eyes, her hair falling over her face and her conductor's cap long gone. Her goggles still hung around her neck, dirty from fixing the landing gear.
she reminds me of my bro… Paps set Mari in Ellis's bed and guarded the door from the inside.
The bed smelled like Ellis. Obviously, this is where he sleeps. . . That last thought ran through her head before Mariko fell asleep, curled up on Ellis' covers.
The demon drifted towards Seth and her group. "More vessels? Wonderful!" It dove towards them.
Ellen screamed, but was cut short as the demon forced its way into her mouth and nose. Nausea churned in her stomach as she felt the thing pour into and spread through her body, taking control.
conner began to draw a protective ward in the air over mariko and on the door "hopefully this is strong enough."
"ELLEN!" Seth yelled. She pointed the gun in her hands at Ellen, or, rather, the demon. "Get out of her! I don't know what the heck you're going to do with the body of a kid, but whatever it is, I ain't gonna put up with it!"
Ellen's body shuddered as it tried to contain the supernatural. She felt herself lose control. The demon looked up, pulling a leer across Ellen's face. "I'm afraid you'll have to." It hissed, gripping Ellen's knife.
"Hell na. Ellen is not just some vessel. Just get out of her, and maybe we can come to an agreement?" Seth practically begged the demon.
Ellen tried to fight against the demon, but it pushed her back.
Go away
How can I dingus? This is my body. You're the one who should go away.
The demon glared at Seth. "What kind of agreement."
"I dunno, why are you even here? Don't you have some kind of demon dimension where you can party with other demons?" Seth asked.
Ellis ran down the hall, lugging the portal gun behind him. He skidded to a halt. "Ellen?"
The demon turned, smirking. "I'm afraid Ellen isn't available at the moment."
Really? That was kind of corny.
Shut up kid. Go sulk in your bad memories.
NO WAY
Ellen's body started thrashing as she tried to fight the demon.
Ellis glanced at Seth. "What happened?"
Mariko couldn't sleep. It tugged at her, begging her to lay down, but the cold feeling in her chest wouldn't let her. She sat up on the bed and got under the covers, wrapping the blanket around herself. Her stringy, blue hair covered her eyes and she lied down. Just sleep.
Papyrus seems lost in his thoughts but notices that Mariko is having trouble sleeping and begins to hum a song that he remembered from his childhood, this song was made to help others sleep.
paps stops half way through the song as he begins to remember…his brother. he starts again
"you are my sunshine,
my only sunshine,
you make me happy,
when sky's are gray,
you'll never know dear,
how much i love you,
please… don't take… my sunshine…
away……….."
