"Sir yes sir." Cassie deadpanned, grabbing her bag. "I'll stick to the girl's lockerroom instead."
“Go right on ahead,” Lillian started her way out of the auditorium, “I’ll see you guys tomorrow.”
(Should we skip?)
Laura froze with terror. Home. Go home. No… She slowly got up and walked through the aisleway, light catching her brown hair. She kept her eyes low she her head ducked. Home. Go home. Come home. She was trembling.
(Should we skip now?)
(Yeah. Practice tomorrow? Or would you like to do it sooner.)
(Let's actually do something in school?)
(Okay, so arriving to school in the morning?)
(Yep)
(Okie!)
Laura rushed towards the school. One of the major disadvantages of walking to school was if you left too late, you would have to run. And Laura had left too late. So now she was running.
Lillian was thankful everyday she lived close enough to the school that walking wasn't that bad of an issue. She had used her mom's old concealer to hide some of the bruises given to her last night.
Lloyd had decided to fly to the school early in the morning and sat outside the doors now by himself. They would be opening in a couple minutes.
Cassie sported her black eye and split lip with her usual apathy, despite the throbbing that had refused to cease. Last night's fight had been rough, pairing her opponent's size with his cheating, and the ref's blatant 'obliviousness'. You won though. You always do. Taking comfort in that small fact, she leaned against the wall near the front doors, phone in hand.
Lloyd glanced up at Cassie and nodded politely as a greeting before staring at the ground again. He noticed her black eye, but figured it wasn't any of his business.
Laura usually might have worn her hair up to go to school, but it was down today to cover the bruising marks on her neck. She came to a stop just before she was visible to anyone who might have been looking and walked the rest of the way to the doors.
Belle was late. Like usual. Wasn't her fault her dad was like this. She readjusted the eyepatch strings across her forehead and kept walking. She wished that Ryan was still in school so he could come with her. (SHADE I'M SORRY I COULDN'T DO IT I'M NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO KILL BEAUTY AND THE BEAST FOREVER)
(I FEEL YA GIRL.)
Lillian walked up to the front of the school building and waved at Lloyd, "Hey."
"Hello, Lillian." The doors opened and Lloyd stood up, walking inside.
"How was your afternoon, evening?" Lillian said unsure of what to call after practice, "After practice time?"
"Uneventful. My apartment is quite empty." Lloyd shrugged. The very tip of his wing poked out from under his hoodie.
"Uh Lloyd," Lillian spotted the slight ruffle of feathers, "There's some feathers coming from your hoodie."
Lloyd froze, going pale. Oh no… "I-I… um… no there isn't?" He said weakly, pulling his hoodie down.
"No there was," Lillian responded confidently, "Is your hoodie lined with feathers or something?"
"…Yeah, sure. My hoodie's lined with feathers." Lloyd tried to go along with it, but he was an atrocious liar.
