(Silo…)
Saffi walks around the store grabbing essentials. She stops in front of the jewelry and looks at a necklace. She sighs and keeps walking.
Milo notices the necklace and looks up to Jason. He nods excitedly. "I'll get that please." He asks the woman at the counter. She nods, "here you are." he nods in thanks and quickly buys it and jogs to catch up with Saffi, his little brother hiding the piece of jewelry.
Saffi picks up a few things and looks back at Milo. "I think I'm done," she says.
He nods, "Lets go check out then." He smiles at her and Jason giggles.
"Yes, let's." She grabs a basket and puts the things inside it. She walks over to the cash register.
Milo nods, walking after her. As the woman at the desk works, she says, "what a darling little family." Milo grows bright red, stuttering for an answer.
Saffi laughs. "Thank you, ma'am, but we're just friends," she replies. She looks back at Milo and sees him blushing, she giggles and begins to give the lady her items.
Milo shakes his head and nods, Jason giggling under his breath.
Saffi begins to take out her money again. She looks back at him. "At least let me pay part of it?" she asks.
"We'll split, half and half. Sound fair?" he says, smiling at her.
"Fair," she nods. She hands him some money and smiles.
He pays for the rest and sets Jason down so he can carry the bags. Jason clutches the box with the necklace in it to his chest.
Saffi looks at Jason and sees the box. She doesn't say anything about it and looks away. "Thank you, for everything," she whispers.
He nods, "No problem." He hums as they walk back to the car. Jason hops into the backseat, clutching to the box tightly. Milo puts the other stuff in the back and walks to the drivers seat.
Saffi sits in the passenger seat and crosses her arms over her chest. She sighs and looks out the side window.
"Alright. Home we go." He pulls out and drives them home.
Saffi lays her head back and closes her eyes. Her phone starts to ring and she answers it. "Hey Aunt Amiya. Yes, I saw. I'm fine. I'm staying with a friend don't worry. Ugh bye." She turned off her phone.
He pulls in, giving her a worried glance. "Alright, let's show you around. It was a two story building, modern, nothing huge. It was cozy. He smiles before getting out and grabbing their things.
"Nice house," she says. She steps out of the car. She looks at her phone and it's blown up with text messages from her aunt. "She is so annoying," she mutters.
"Thanks…" He unlocks the door, "You can take the master bedroom." He says, "That way you have your own shower and space." He says, carry the stuff up and into the first room on the right.
"Thank you," she says. She follows him upstairs.
He nods and Jason bounds up the stairs, setting the little box on the bed. Inside was a note with the necklace 'A little welcome gift. ~Milo and Jason
Saffi opens it and smiles. She looks at Milo and shakes her head. "You've already done so much. You didn't have to get me this," she says.
He chuckles, "Doesn't matter. Make yourself at home." He smiles before leaving.
