"That sounds cool," Lillian began fidgeting with her hands. She was worried about her parents, if she went they would get mad at her. And if they were mad at her that meant… Her hand crept up to her eye before she forced it down, No, don't think about that.
Darren remembered the stories about Lillian's parents. "Are you sure that's gonna be okay Lillian?" Darren looked at her with concern lacing his green eyes. "I don't want to get you in any kind of trouble or anything."
"Angel, actually. Witches don't exist, at least not that I know of."
(Luena is gonna be a huge fucking shock then. XD)
Luena frowned. Rehearsal times were over, and staff was ushering her out of the school. The group hadn't returned since Paige was thrown into a panic. She limped out the front entrance of the school, and sat down on the stairs. Luena looked around - slightly hunched over due to her wound - trying to see if she could find the others.
Lillian met his eyes before nodding, "Yeah, I'll just have to be careful. I can come."
"Not mine," Lillian shook her head. Her parents wouldn't like that. Especially without notice.
Lloyd pulled back the bowstring again, looking for something to shoot. He was a good shot, very good, actually. He had been specially trained with both ranged in close combat, so he had to be very accurate and precise from afar. He shot down another faraway bird. The arrows of light dissipated after they had finished their job, and formed as long as there was any source of light, so he didn't have to worry about running out of ammo.
"I live alone in a cheap apartment, so I doubt that'll work."
"My dad is leaving for a business trip tonight so I'll have the house to myself if we want to do it there?"
"If it's okay with you," Lillian looked at Darren. He was really a nice and sweet guy. Wait, was she getting a crush? Shoot.
"Sounds good." Lloyd tucked the bow back into his hoodie. He had no need of it for the moment.
Luena heard the twang of a bow being shot. She looked around curiously. Standing, she summoned her small dagger, a ball of magic building in her right hand - invisible of course, to human eyes - and she began to move towards the noise.
She was not gonna be attacked again, at least not without putting up a fight.
"Let's go then." Darrren smiled and walked towards his car.
Lillian mirrored his smile. She used all her acting skills to not blush as she followed Darren towards his car.
"Alright." Lloyd eyed the car with some apprehension. He had seen a fair few of them of course, but never been in one. He didn't know how they worked, and often heard stories of their crashing.
"Don't worry Lloyd it won't kill you!" Darren said watching Lloyd stare at the car.
When they pulled up to the house Darren parked in the driveway. "We are in luck! My dad already left." He opened the door so Lillian and Lloyd could exit the vehicle.
"….Okay" He got into the backseat of the car and glanced around anxiously. It seemed rather small and cramped to him, but he had always been a bit claustrophobic. It probably came from him wanting to have space for his wings, but never having it.
Lillian hoped out of the vehicle and stared at Darren's house. It was bigger than her own.
Lloyd got out of the car quickly. It hadn't been as bad as he expected, but still less than preferable.
When they entered the house a dog barked and greeted them at the door. "Hey Sydney calm down. Go lay down!"
"Don't worry Lloyd it won't kill you!" Darren said watching Lloyd stare at the car.
Luena lowered her weapons as she saw her three actors leaving the area where the shooting sound had come from. She watched in confusion as Darren had to reassure Lloyd it wouldn't kill him.
She shook her head. She'll ask them about the bow next rehearsal or something.
But… just in case…
Luena released a big burst of magic. It sent out with a clear message: "I DARE YOU"
She didn't care that her stunt sent a shockwave of cold air burst outwards from where she was standing.
(AW COME ON WHY AM I SO SLOW)
Darren turned to his friends, "Sorry about her, Border Collies can be hyper like that!"
Lillian looked at Sydney, "She's so cute! Wait, it is a she right?"
