"Hmm? Oh… yeah… something about fifty pounds and rules? Sounds lovely…" Lloyd felt at the bandages on his head.
"Hmm? Oh… yeah… something about fifty pounds and rules? Sounds lovely…" Lloyd felt at the bandages on his head.
"Let's just not be stupid about this" Darren continued. "We need a way to stop Alek…"
"There's no getting rid of jerks like him," Lillian sighed, "They'll just keep being jerks."
"Tell him to go screw himself or his slut mother because god knows there's been some sort of incest for someone as stupid as him to come into existence."
"But this can't keep happening" Darren gestured to his head and Lloyd.
Lillian nodded. Her head sunk into her chest, so she looked like a little ball. This reminded her so much of them, she didn't want to go back to them. However she had no say in the matter. Tears began to form at the thought.
Darren looked at his watch and stood. "I gotta go home… do you need any more help?"
"Lillian are you okay?" Darren paused and looked concerned.
"Yeah," Lillian responded, "Just a bit tired."
"Pfft, 'home'. What a lovely place." Lloyd said sarcastically. "Think the owners of this place will just let me sleep here?"
Darren looked like he was about to say something before his phone began to ring… "Hello?"
"No dad I'll be home soon"
"Yeah okay, whatever… bye"
"That was my dad, I really need to get going. You gonna be okay here without me?"
(Gtg to bed now. Byeeeeeee)
(Okay Bye)
"Yeah," Lillian stood up wiping her eyes, "I need to go too."
"You need a ride home, Lillian?"
Lillian silently debated this for a minute, "That would be great."
"Okay!" Darren held the cafe door open for Lillian and opened the passenger car door for her to climb in before getting the car himself.
Lillian entered the passenger side and buckled up. She took a shaky breath, It'll be fine. Everything's going to be fine.
Darren started the car and before he knew it he was on the road. He looked at Lillian, "Are you sure you're doing okay?" "you know you can talk to me."
Lillian nodded, "I-I'm not okay, but the thing? It's just really difficult to talk about."
"I'm here for you, and I won't tell anyone if you don't want me to. You can always talk to me, Lillian."
(Hey! I gtg for the night. Bye)
"My p-parents aren't the best people," Lillian started. She rolled up her sleeves to reveal scars and bruises lining her arm, "Every time I come home, it's the same pattern. Hit, yell, leftovers, hit, bed, and Alek tonight, just reminded me of them."
(Bye!)
